The mercure Inverness is in the prime spot, right in the centre of the city, giving lots of options to explore the beautiful place! Sylvia who served me was excellent, she was attentive, efficient and was very polite and helpful. Great food and lovely staff!

Totally dissatisfied with the customer service and handling of parking The staff with the exception of Mr Avinash have no idea how to treat elite Diamond members of Accor There was no email explaining the fact that the parking was situated on a totally different street The parking was badly managed with many cars always double parked and tour buses blocking the legitimately parked cars When I complained about the facilities… I was told by a customer service staff this was only a ‘three star hotel’ as if that was a good excuse for deficient customer service As I said earlier the only saving grace was Mr Avinash who was very helpful always. I would also complement the breakfast service which was very good But guest services overall needs improvement and majority of staff needs training in customer service

Despite many online comments, this hotel HAS NO GYM. The gym was closed several years ago, online information has not yet caught up. (June 2025). We had an upgraded room, which was nice and had a king bed. The hotel has air conditioning, it did work, but the weather was plenty cool that we did not need it on. The issue with the air was we had a window that did not open for fresh air, but the window could not completely close either, so air whistling through it was somewhat annoying. We were on the river side, so based on other comments expect this helped with the quietness. It was not a large room, but welcome to the UK/Europe way of life. The breakfast was fabulous, as others have said. Meaghan at the front desk was great to deal with, very friendly and helpful.

At £640 for two nights it’s not great. Classic double room. Found hairs that are definitely not mine in the sink and on the bed. Desk doesn’t feel clean. No sockets by the bed. Heating is a manual radiator (I was trying to find the thermostat!) and bathroom has a towel rail which doesn’t switch on. Good location.

From start to finish, everything was perfect. Jo at reception is an asset to your establishment - she has the balance of friendliness and professionalism perfected! I was able to have an early check-in and my breakfast the next day was the best I'd had all week (and I'd stayed in three different hotels by that point).
