A one night stay during a GLOBUS tour was comfortable and clean. Although the hotel is older, room 321 was decorated nicely, clean, but somewhat dated. (Small bathroom, no usb ports) Staff was excellent. Group dinner for 30+ people was delicious(tomato & mozzarella salad, pork steak, sticky toffee pudding). Waiters, James and Rodney were very pleasant and accommodating. After dinner drinks at the bar. Ian was our bartender and was very nice and attentive in this open and nicely decorated lounge. The location is wonderful for walking along the river or shopping. Would definitely recommend.

No soundproofing

The street noise was unreal. I slept with ear plugs in but was woken constantly by street noise including truck and yelling bar patrons. The first night of our three night stay the fire alarm went off at 5:00 followed by fire fighters in the room a few minutes later. While I am grateful there was no actual emergency the staff did nothing to explain or offer an apology, just that “rumor has it” someone was smoking in their room. We had traveled all day the day prior and were already exhausted. I’ve stayed in quieter hotels in Mew York City. In addition the building is very run-down. The room was fine but I didn’t even want a photo of the outside, disgraceful. When we initially checked in we had been given the wrong room/bed set up despite that I emailed to book and confirm. Super inconvenient.

Well located but noisy

Enjoyed our stay. Good location, near places of interest and easy to get to surrounding areas. Had a street facing room which we found to be noisy at night due to this, also with street cleaning, bins being emptied and seagulls in the morning. Room was quite small, had expected larger with 4 star rating of hotel.

Having had a previous visit where the noise from street kept us awake all night, this visit was very different. Had a privilege room overlooking river sooooo much better. No noise slept well
