Bedroom was comfortable but in need of some tlc. Have a slight disability which meant struggled with the bathroom. Having to step into a bath to have a shower was not ideal and the shower was very poor decor was mismatch in all could do with being upgraded

Have been here lots of times. This time we were given room 207. This was in the top floor of the building. Downside. The bed was very small - would say a large single or a very small double. We are of normal size yet were unable to lie side by side comfortably. One had too sleep on their side if the other was sleeping on their back. Disappointing.

Problematic re bookings

I booked using the Accor website. When it came to pay I inserted my details, pressed pay and it appeared to be authorising but then went to a blank page I waited 90 seconds, still blank, pressed back arrow and it took me back to the payment page. I assume the transaction had failed so inserted details again and pressed pay. Again as before went to blnk page. Waited 5 minutes and then looked at at my e-mails to see I now had two bookings. I contactted Accor booking number who were most unhelpful. Booking were not refundable so too bad. I asked for the customer care number and contacted them. They were more interested and have attempted to sort it . One of the bookings was duly cancelled but I have not received a refund. I also made the hotel and Jupiter booking office aware of the situation but still no money refund. Anyway arrived at the hotel on 31 October and went to check in. Advised there was no booking and I was not on their system. Fortunately I had printed out the confirmation e-mail and was allocated a room. The male receptionist later advised he had found the booking. During our stay we twice had to obtain new room card keys as they did not work. It appeared they only lasted for one day at a time. On the 2nd night having booked time of dinner with reception was advised in restaurant there was no booking. They were able to allow us in thankfully as at that time due to lockdowns no pubs/restaurants were open. You can see my frustration. My wife and I have stayed many times in your hotel and this is the first time I have given a negative review and to be fair part om complaint is directed at Accor website. However that is part of the over all experience. I am still £125 out of pocket!

The staff were excellent and really lovely and the hotel is in an ideal location. However, when booking a suite I would expect the suite to be of a premium quality and I believe that it is only a suite because of the small living room. The room was very tired and the bathroom terrible - not the premium or opulent stay I would have hoped for.

Don't believe the reviews you read. It just takes one thing wrong (like the toilet roll holder was broken and it ruins the holiday) get my drift. We had read reviews some bad some ok. We arrived on friday 23 October for my brithday surprise. We parked at the front door of the hotel, if this had been full then the hotel has a large car park across the road controled by a barrier with exit code. We were checked in by Steph who was an ambassador for Mecure Hotels so pleasant could not do enough for the guests, nothing was too much. We were there on a deal which included wine because of the restrictions on alcohol consumption the wine was delivered to your room. The Restuarant staff work very hard Monika was so welcoming and nothing was too much bother for them. The menu was more than ample for what we paid 2 course was 22 pounds, 3 Course was 25 pounds. With the latest round of covid19, you can have a drink with your meal until 20.00hrs. Steak was available for 10 pounds extra, worth every penny. The hotel is in need of a good makeover in a lot of ways. The owners of the Mill could open up the beer garden and place more tables outside and have more guests having drinks in the garden. The garden is such a lovely spot with the lade water running right past then under the hotel, which can be viewed from inside the reception area. Will we go back ------ of course we will. Everything was clean and there was sanitiser all over the public areas of the hotel. The room had been deep cleaned. If you are in tier 2 for Covid19 then this Hotel would like to see you.
