Stayed a few times at this hotel great for shopping but disappointed pool always closed

Staff very friendly and most helpful especially Angela in the restaurant. She deserves an award for her level of attention , care and fab customer service. Disappointed we were not told till arrival that the pool was out of use. One way system for corridors was confusing. Room was very clean and tidy

Food good Staff good Rooms dated-tired and tatty. We upgraded the room, and on visiting the room, we reverted back to a standard room as it was in need of gutting. Families were in the hotel with no masks, and not approached by Reception, yet we witnessed a couple being turned away from the restaurant because of no masks. It appears that staff are unsure of approaching certain families, and choose the easy option of turning a blind eye.

Lovely stay in the Mercure in Livingston, I have stayed in other Nercure hotels and this one has been the best. Nice and clean with friendly staff. Breakfast was lovely and the hotel is ideally suited for the shopping outlets

Room was very clean, bed comfortable. Gripes below: - Breakfast 1st morning luke warm but substancial. waitress very lovely. Bath tap bad drip, brought to attention 2nd morning after couldn't turn water off. Not fixed. Booked for 4 nights, but after 3 decided to go home. However would stay again, as previous stays have been great without fault.

Staff were lovely, pleasant, helpful. Bed was clean however carpet in room 148 is threadbare where bed sits. Bath has a few chips out of it. A bit dated needs some freshening up. Reception area is inviting inside however entrance could have been doing with a sweep.

2nd time staying and staff are all first class room good and location 5star. My problem was wen booked we were not informed we could not use pool. Also no information given as homeless living in hotel understand because of covid but l do think we should have been informed. Room was a bit dated swimming pool not opened although other swimming pools were open after lockdown no place to sit in the sunshine apart from smoking area which was fine if you smoked . Food was nice and the staff were very friendly

Room was disappointing. Had to ask to get moved. First one smelled strongly of mould as bathroom door all wet at back. Second room better. Room was tired though and could be doing with upgrading.

Relaxed, lovely clean room. We were using an Itison voucher which was great value. Food nice, drinks very expensive. The beds were crisp clean and even with Covid restrictions the hotel staff were very thorough checking we had everything we needed (toiletries, towels, coffees etc) Pillows were extremely hard but I suppose that strictly personal preference. Lovely little mini break

Stay was nice room a little tiered, evening meal was nice but wine was expensive. Only told that pool and spa not open 1 day before arrival as this was one of the reasons that we booked this hotel we were very disapointed not to be able to use this facility. we could have had other hotels cheaper but they had no pool. it may be a good idea to tell people when booking that the pool in closed

Corridors in hotel tired but room fine. Loved the bed size. Comfy room and great maid service. Meal in hotel found menu restricted but enjoyed the steak dinner. Breakfast good and table servers could not be more helpful. The hotel well located to hit shopping centre.

A very dated hotel needs an update. Great to have a sit down breakfast but very small portions my college counted 8 beans in a small tub and I had to ask for 2 rounds of toast as they were going to give me 1. when I asked for a grilled tomato I got half of one. I think they need to think about what someone wants for breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay had our dinner there it was great however the breakfast was disappointing the eggs were really hard couldn’t eat it it certainly wasn’t fresh been sitting to long.the hotel could do with a refurbish.

we have stayed at the Mercure Livingston 3 times before,but this time we were so disappointed its unlikely we shall stay there again there were 2 functions on the 2 nights we stayed there and every table and siting down chair were taken as I am disabled we had to return to our room to find a seat when we asked for seating e were told there was non available,but the room and breakfast were good
