Room wasn't very clean. Government just said not to visit any pu s restaurants or social environments due to the Corona virus so came home early

I cannot say thank you enough, the fact that you remained open was amazing, your staff done so very well considering COVID-19 . We felt like the only people in the hotel. Rooms were spotless, and we had two very good nights sleep. Even though it was standard , dressing gowns, slippers, It was important for us to see our children before the country went on shut down as we live 500 miles away, and as it happens that was our very last chance for many months to come. You can be very proud of them, absolutely nothing was to much trouble.

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel,The room was nice,clean and tidy,It was a spacious room and had everything i needed including a decent Wi-Fi connection.The breakfasts were very nice too and a lot to choose from.The staff seemed friendly and welcoming

Cant fault the value of the 2 night stay, there seems to be very large groups appearing in a Sunday morning which is a fight for the toaster. £8 for a glass of large dry white.....mmm a little dear I thought for house wine. I really wanted to pay the extra for robes and coffee maker for my sister and myself to be told you can only do that in a double room???? I have a coffee maker that can move from room to room along with mobile robes.....very confusing and surely a good way of turning down money. Anyway stayed about 5 times now and will stay again for sure.

A little getaway for my sisters birthday. We booked 2 rooms for 4 of us. We had dinner in hotel which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Great food staff and ambiance. In one of the rooms the shower didn’t work but there was a bath so no problem. Reported when we left receptionist apologised and said they could have fixed it for us if we were staying longer I would have requested this. Great shopping centre a few minutes walk away for us shopaholics. An all round great stay. Would definitely recommend thanks to all.

As always the staff are really good at this hotel, unfortunately the breakfast hasn't improved, toaster that doesn't toast, the most unappetizing fresh fruit and the hot food is just unappealing. Had a TV that was not working but didn't discover this until I tried to catch the morning news. This could be a great hotel if there was some investment and as i said at the start the staff are great (your best asset)

After staying here on a couple of occasions in previous years i was dissapointed that this hotel was in need of refurbishment. It needs a Good overhaul painted new carpets and a better food menu the prices were expensive for the size of meal on your plate.

The staff were very friendly, efficient and attentive. My room was comfortable. Food was delicious. However, there were no notices with regard to being given the option of keeping towels for a view days rather than towels being changed daily which meant more washing, not so good for the environment. Also the room could have done with instructions on how to operate the heating. I found out how to switch it on but not how to switch it off.

We had a voucher from itison that we got as a present which was the reason for our stay. The room was fine after we upgraded, hotel in general quite dated and tired looking. Meal was nice and enjoyable. Drinks were expensive. We sat in the bar after dinner but this lacked atmosphere. We didn't use the spa facilities as they looked old and tired.

Arrived very late in th evening, left early pleasant staff on Reception. Room and bathroom clean and ok Horrendous noise from the floorboards in the room felt sorry for anyone in the room below as already stated I arrived late

My mother and I often stay at the Mercure in Livingston. Our stays have always included excellent customer service and an enjoyable experience. As my mother is disabled it can be difficult to stay in hotels often being made to feel somewhat of an inconvenience but the Mercure has never made her feel like this. The staff ensure that I can bring breakfast to her room and are tentative to needs without being overbearing.
