I was not informed that I had to make sure I got a card from the Omni Car Park facility, consequently I was charged an extortionate amount for parking one night! My night was interrupted by what I thought was water escaping from above my room, when the noise got too much I went to the bathroom and horrified to find the toilet was leaking from the botched workmanship from what I would call a Plumber. I rang Reception Who were very apologetic and asked if I would like to move rooms to which I declined but asked for towels to be sent up. This was done in a very speedy fashion, for which I was grateful to the team. My time with you was not a very good experience considering I had joined the 'Privileged club ' In closing, and to honour your team They couldn't have been nicer in trying to sort things out.

Location is central. By car you cannot reach the hotel. Parking is nearby and you can enjoy the scenery when walking to/from the hotel.

Absolutely would not recommend to anyone to book simply due to how distasteful my experience wjth Myra made my stay. Location brilliant, room very comfy with great view cannot fault it. However the lady who checked me in needs to get some retraining in 1. Personality and 2. Basic customer manners. First thing I was asked was how I was making payment. 1. Never introduced or said hello 2. Asked for payment and did not say please ( basic common manner) 3. Did not say thank you once I had made payment in full for 3 nights. Honestly disgusted at how she acted. Considering she’s an operations manager you would think she would know to sell hello, please and thank you but clearly not. General manager very helpful and the other staff menebrs at reception also very helpful but unfortunately the actions of one staff member can cause a bad experience.

Ok, good spot/ location. No bar, no evening food. Local takeaways closed, so did not eat. Accepted due to circumstances, but other hotels have managed to do so during this period.

Location is excellent with wonderful castle and city view. Reception staff extremely polite. Room was supposed to be an upgrade but we were allocated a tired and dated older room. Note: policy of no alcohol as part of room service after 7.30pm, very limited menu also. Last restaurant booking 7pm. Again, limited bar style menu only. We were refused coffee after our hurried meal, at 7.50, as coffee machine had been switched off! Breakfast was very good, presuming you want full Scottish, restaurant has a panoramic city view above Princes Street. Pity no Xmas market this year as it would have been stunning. With a little more effort, the small number of guests that are coming through their doors could have been leaving with a far better impression. Room rate was at reduced price through 3rd party vendor, so overall not too bad. Covid risk management good. I'd stay again particularly for location but not at premium rates. As no on site parking, hotel offers reduced rates £13 for 24 hours, at nearby Omni car park. 5 minutes or so walk. For travellers coming in to the city, car park charges are exorbitant all over. The train station and bus stations are 5 minutes away from this hotel.

We have stayed in this hotel before and will do so again. The location is absolutely ideal, just a short walk from Waverley Rail station and on Edinburghs main shopping street with easy access to the gardens and the royal mile. We have always found the rooms clean and tidy with tea/coffee making facilities in the room. We also have breakfast at the in house restaurant as we love the buffet style dining and think it is very good value for money. All in all a great place to stay and highly recommended.

very nice room, water and biscuits supplied in room, clean with a good view of the castle, good selection for breakfast but had better at other hotels in edinburgh. there was alot of doors slamming at night time.
