I enjoyed my two day stay at the hotel although I felt that the lobby/foyer area of the hotel was always chilly and why was there air conditioning being used when the temperature outside was -2 degrees? I ate twice in the restaurant area and the food was good and served at a good price point. I visit the bar/ coffee shop of this restaurant fairly to frequently and I always find the female staff much more friendly and courteous than the male staff. But, overall it was a good stay and I rated it a solid 8 out of ten.

During colder periods the system can still circulate air to maintain an even and comfortable temperature throughout the lobby area. We understand that this may have felt cool at times and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Warm welcome from Reception staff who remembered us during our stay. We were treated as guests rather than customers. Room was clean and well presented though the bed was big for the size of the room. Storage facilities in the room were minimal. Luggage storage after checkout was well organised.

Room was small and dated but adequate. Pillows were extremely lumpy. Did not make for a good nights sleep.

Overnight stay 3/1/26 We stay regularly in Glasgow but the staff at Mercure are the reason we always try and book here first. Joy and Ellie could not have made us feel more welcome. Also Martin who stored our bags and engaged with us. The rooms are always immaculate and the service just seems personal. We have choices but Mercure have this city centre customer service, room quality, price point and personal service down to a tee and for that reason would recommend to others on a city break and I will be booking again soon. Welll done Joy, Ellie and Martin.

We have stayed a few times in this hotel. We love the fact that it is beside George Square in the centre of Glasgow and all of the staff are lovely and always helpful. On this visit Ellie was especially helpful. We had a beautiful superior room with an area with sofa and table and enjoyed the fresh breakfast. The cooked breakfast buffet was lovely and hot which we find is not always the case in buffets at other hotels. Always being topped up freshly. Fruit and pastry section tasty and the toaster only took one run to toast the bread which was fab !
