DO NOT PAY CAR PARK VIA QR CODE AT RECEPTION

Booking, location and staff reception was great, very polite and helpfull to accomodate us a little bit before the usual check in time. The room was cosy and the bed comfortable with good cleningness standards. The ability to park near the hotel at a competitive rate was one of the factors why i chose this hotel. However on arrival i was asked to scan the QR code at reception to complete car park payment within 10 mn. There was something unusual when i scanned it, and took me to a site hjumpbill, which was trying to force a membership log in. i tried to cancel and explained it to the staff, and was able to pay for the car park by other means. I noticed the next day that £1 had been debited from my card from that site and i then had a message from my bank stating they stopped a scam subscription of that side for £59.99, which was a well known hacker company. i comfirm ed the above and spend 15mn explaining everything until all the moneys were creditted, and i was advised that they may target my account again in the future. WARNING TO HOTEL AND ALL CUSTOMERS, DO NOT PAY FOR THE CAR PARK USING THE QR CODE AT RECEPTION< ITS HACKED....hence rate given

Thankyou for mentioning that you had a great stay in our comfortable beds and clean & cosy rooms. I am sorry to hear of your issue with the QR code for the parking. We have had this checked over with our parking company and there appears to be no issues, but we thankyou for bringing this to our attention. Can i request that you check if there may be an unwanted malicious programme downloaded to your device which may have an impact when you scan QR codes from your device. You may need to contact your provider for help with this. It is our hope to welcome you back to our hotel again soon for another great stay.
