The stuff was very nice and welcoming, the food was good for breakfast and dinner, the room was nice however the bed was a bit hard and the room was really hot even though the wind was open and having the window open it was very loud so could get much sleep.

Hotel was great. Room was clean and well sized. Staff were friendly and allowed us to keep our bags there safely after we checked out. Only criticism I have was that the kitchen was very stingy with portion sizes at breakfast e.g. only giving 1 piece of bacon, tiny pots of beans and only giving 1 eggs worth of scrambled egg.

Room we were allocated stank, asked for a change of room and was allocated a Premium room, decor very tired, heating made noises all night so not much sleep, wouldn’t recommend this hotel, very disappointed. Only plus was breakfast, great choice plenty of everything.

However, We are concerned to read that you left feeling underwhelmed with certain aspects of your stay especially with rooms and staying whole needs a refit. Our reception, public area and restaurant is already has uplift and just this week we have changed the carperts in all the rooms.We are currently through transition period of soft refurbishment and due to COVID and supply chain management- we are unable to complete full soft refurbishment of the rooms and hotel currently, which we aim to finish this in the first 3 months of the year if no more issue arise due to pandemic. As with every business thing can go wrong and it is only feedback good or bad that we can progress the business and give the highest level of service possible. Your feedback is important part of this process at Mercure Glasgow City Hotel as it helps us to recognise where our service could be improved. I am happy to offer you return stay at hotel for £50B&B in privilege room valid for 6 months subject to availability and show how product and service has improved after the transition and pandemic as try to evlvove through this tough time especially hopsitality industry. Well to begin with I asked for a accessible room as my husband is blind so he needs the space . The room we were allocated was at the back near a what felt like a night club music blaring till early hours so no sleep.Cant fault the food was excellent and the location is great central, staff good.

This was my first time staying in the Mercure Glasow I usually book the mercure in princes street Edinburgh. Check in was quick and reception guy was pleasant. All was going well until the Christmas party started in the hotel the music was so loud I phoned reception to see what was going on and was told there was a party in the hotel and the music would stop at 12, the music did stop but it was the behaviour of other guests that was horrendous they were shouting and screaming and banging on each others doors this went on in the corridor of my floor and the floor above and it went on the whole night so I git no sleep what so ever. I was never made aware of a party within the hotel if I'd known I would've cancelled my booking and stayed else where.

Staff where very accommodating and pleasant. Only downside was the room belt very warm and no air due to Windows not opening. Not only uncomfortable but not really appropriate in the current virus climate. Have stayed in other Mercure hotels and would book again using the special offer.

Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Great location. Great breakfast though disappointing they ran out of an item and didn’t come back to advise first and check we didn’t want to then change order and slight negative no hot water in shower in morning. All in all good hotel in perfect location

Needs a refit.

We stayed here for a night for our Christmas night out which was also held at this hotel. The entire hotel needs a refit, the rooms and the suite are in dire need of upgrades as they are grubby and shabby looking. This was our first time staying at a Mercure over the Ibis hotels and honestly the Ibis Styles in Glasgow was far superior in price, size of the room and decor. I thought The Mercure as supposed to be more luxury than the Ibis but it was not. Other than that I would like to commend the staff at the hotel/who worked the party night as they were all wonderful and super friendly! Always good when you can have a laugh with the staff. The two security guards on shift during the party were also a good laugh. The food at the Christmas party was actually really good, normally at other venues they feel mass produced and microwaved but here they were much better quality. I would also like to thank the staff for being very good to our guests who had food related allergies and made sure they never missed out. Our party of 28 people all very much enjoyed the Christmas night out and also commended the staff but for those who stayed all agreed that the decor and quality of the rooms were poor.

Stayed in the Mercure in Glasgow’s Ingram Street several times now. Cannot fault the service or the presentation of the hotel to its guests. Location of the hotel is excellent in all respects. When we have an overnight in Glasgow this is by far the preferred hotel
