Lovely hotel, excellent location, superb daily breakfast, the only letdown was the rooms still not being serviced. Guests still have to collect towels, toilet rolls, toiletries and tea bags and milk from reception.

I have been trying to call the hotel all day and no one answers. Only after what was 3 hours on hold added up from unanswered called, someone picked up. Did they speak English.....not really, did I get my question answered.....does not looking it like it. I just want a copy of my invoice emailed to me and that appears impossible for the one person that did bother to answer the phone to do. I guess I am going to have to go on hold again to try and get hold of someone again!!

Very friendly staff, were always helpful. The hotel was lovely. The room was clean as was the bathroom. I have 2 issues though. The water pressure from the shower was very disappointing, nice & hot but no pressure. The other was the breakfast. No issue with the choices available, but the buffet style cooked items were all dry & must have been sitting under the heat lamps for ages ( we ate at 8am). Solid bacon, solid sausage, solid egg, the beans & were good. For the price charged not worth it. Overall, I'd definitely stay again (won't eat breakfast there)

The room was small, frosted glass in the window shielded the awful view. The room was clean and beds comfortable. The reception manager was very helpful and pleasant. The restaurant waiter (Billy) was exceptionally helpful and friendly, however the Restaurant Manager needs to monitor the amount of food available in the serving dishes we had to wait sometime for fried eggs to come from the kitchen.

Whilst the hotel a little dated in appearance, the room was clean and the bed comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only qualm was our towel rail fell off and it looked like it has been bodge jobbed back on previously, but wasn't a big deal to us and other than that the room was nice. Parking was expensive (£25 per night) but that seems to be more Brighton wide rather than the hotel in particular. The one thing that did taint it slightly was going to the bar for a drink before heading out for the evening and finding how extortionate the cost of spirits were - £10.80 quoted for a double Jack and coke. How much?! Given we all know you can get a full bottle for double that, I don't understand where that price came from as the bar area was pretty average so wasn't like you're paying for the experience. They only had Singha beer on tap as well so other than that it was just a choice of a few bottled beers, which is again an expensive option so we just had 1 and left to find somewhere better. All in all we were satisfied with the stay and can't fault the staff

Returned after 7 years from getting married there. Room upgrade which was spectacular. Value for money. The evening meal perhaps was the only slight let down.

We had a very enjoyable three night stay. The hotel is well positioned and near enough the town centre without being too near. The Concierge Monty was very helpful as was our waiter Mourad. We would definitely return.

Greeted really nice and welcoming we even got checked in at 1300, we were in a privileged room in the mews not sure if this was privileged as other rooms that were had it wrote on the door number ours didn’t. The room was ok clean and tidy. One of the problems was if you ran out of tea bags,milk coffee or water you had to ask at reception for more, this seamed an inconvenience to the staff and made you feel as though you were trying to rip the hotel off by asking for more basic items. Might be better to put more stock in the rooms before hand We had evening meal and breakfast in our deal, we went into the restaurant for our evening meal on our first night, nice to sit in the window looking out over the sea, the waiter was friendly and welcoming, we ordered our food and drinks from the menu, couldn’t believe the price for the beer and wine but this is hotel prices, the wrong wine was brought to the table this was soon rectified. The pudding we choose was not available so we had choice of other menu except what we chose the cheese and biscuits (more on that later). When the food came it was very nice presented well very enjoyable. We were not rushed at all we were able to sit there as long as we liked. Breakfast was in the large dining room plated service as the hotel was full. Tea and coffee was self service as was juice all plenty of, toast was via two toasters at the back of the room very slow cooking. The breakfast hot food was brought to the table plenty of it but the plates were cold so was the food, only good thing was we were not rushed. The beds where hard but comfortable the shower was hot when required just not that powerful. After a lovely day in Brighton town and marina (drinks very cheap at weatherspoons) with lovely outlook over marina. Our evening meal was not as good we ordered drinks but not that many available had to have third choice, we chose cod and chips after our starter, this was not a good choice, the batter and fish was over cooked and tough the dish of peas which was served with it was stone cold, had to complain to the waitress who just got the warmed up in the microwave which made them even harder and uneatable, we chose the cheese board for pudding what a mistake we had 3 bits of cheese and 2 round crackers and 3 square ones a few grapes and 3 small bits of limp celery, one slice of Stilton one slice of soft cheese and a what we described as rubber or cheddar, all this for £ 9.00 what a rip off, we did not stay very long, the bill was £70.00 if we had paid for in and we only spent £9,00 on drinks this is a rip off not what you would expect of a 4 star hotel we stayed here about 5 years ago it was much better then. We will not recommend this hotel to our friends and will not return definitely not recommend to our friends. Not a very enjoyable trip to Brighton

The hotel is in a good position for walking into Brighton and Hove. The number of car parking spaces is very limited so you need to arrive early to get a space. The reception staff were very friendly and checked us in before the allocated time. We had a privilege room which was clean and had everything we needed but it wasn’t anything special and felt like a “business stay”type room. Our only disappointment was the selection of food for dinner, which was the same for both nights of our stay.

Seamless check in, room, to me, was somewhat "compct" to other Privilege rooms I have stayed in. Comfy bed, good a/c, louvres we could open and a fair size tv. No rubber mats available, even though sign in shower said we could get one. Breakfast was OK but bacon had been overlapped on a sheet pan, so some was well done, some not so well done.

Ok, but wouldn’t recommend. Room really small, bar snacks not same as on website, after our night out we wanted a nightcap at the hotel bar so came back for it only to find night was ended early as bar shut before advertised time. Receptionist and bar staff nice, others we met too Curt to be described as professional. Overall, disappointing experience. Front of hotel lovely, everything else felt like a cheap bolted on extension. Which it was. Have stayed in other seafront hotels for similar amount that I rate higher. Sorry, but it is what it is.

The location on the beach front was excellent, not far from the pier & close enough to walk the Lanes etc. The foyer was beautifully decorated with an Art Deco vibe & staff were very accommodating. The rooms were tired, not the pretty pictures advertised on SecretSales... however the bed was amazing, really comfy nights sleep & the room was adequate for what we needed.

Spent nearly £300 on a twin room in your supposedly 4 star hotel and was unable to order anything hot to eat from either room service or the bar, due to a wedding event. If you can’t accommodate other guests on these dates, then you shouldn’t allow them to book.

Lovely hotel, excellent location, superb breakfast. Hotel room was great, only downfall rooms are still noy being serviced, you have to collect teabags, milk, towels, toilet rolls, toiletries from reception.

We have stayed here before SO love the place .. our room this time was furnished in such a way that made mobility to the bathroom a little tight (room 114) No way should the shelve unit be blocking this area esp. for access to toilet at night!!! We loved room 111 on a previous stay ..and the staff are all lovely
