We normally stay at the Premier Inn (central…know what were getting etc etc) but then saw this hotel come up at around the same price and THANK GOODNESS WE CHOSE THIS ONE! Right on the seafront, an old hotel that’s been updated to make it lots of fun with a fab, vibey entrance lobby and lovely bar and breakfast rooms. Although some areas (corridors etc) of the hotel still retain a slight shabby echo of yesteryear, the room are super comfy, spacious and full of lively personality. And all at a super reasonable price. What really stood out for us though, was the super warm and friendly welcome we received from the staff, who couldn’t be more helpful if they tried. One special mention goes out to the lovely Marta, who welcomed us and made my daughter feel especially welcome. She informed us of the upcoming train strike before we checked in, (which I had somehow missed!) and suggested options to remember our journey home. Her can-do attitude and gentle demeanour was wonderful. Such a change from many other hotels at this price. Indeed, I have stayed at many a more expensive hotel where this kind of service didn’t exist. Superb, will recommend to all my friends planning a Brighton trip.

Lovely stay, very convenient for attending a concert at the Brighton centre. The reception staff were very friendly and welcoming and the young, female bar staff were polite, helpful and professional. Will be returning Stayed 30th September

Booked a “classic room with a view”. Which on Brighton seafront would imply that you could maybe see the sea. But no. Apparently view just means a window. Which if I stood on the bed I could see out of and the view was a brick wall. Also very hot if window closed and very noisy if open.

Hotel was rather cold. A lot of stairs. Signage is poor and confusing. Car park entrance was masked by work van. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was very good. Room was clean and comfortable.
