We booked the Mercure Brighton to hold a wake for my aunt. Olivia was great to deal with and all the staff were so helpful. We had selected afternoon tea to have on the day, and the room was all laid out really well. The food was very well received and delicious. We thought it was great value for money. All in all, we couldn't fault the service, location and staff.

We enjoyed a truly wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff are so friendly, helpful and also very professional. We were upgraded to the junior suite which was fabulous. The hotel itself is a beautiful building right on the seafront offering excellent food and drinks in the tastefully decorated bar/restaurant area which has a lovely ambiance. It’s almost opposite the bandstand so a really good location too. I would definitely recommend it. We’ll be back.

We stayed for 2 nights between Christmas and NY to celebrate our wedding anniversary (thanks for the upgrade!). We chose The Mercure for the location and the description on line, which was accurate. It's a good base for Brighton seafront and city. The rooms are spacious and well decorated and the breakfast is very good. We had a drink in the hotel bar, which again is well decorated with a good selection of drinks.
