Good Location

The location is really good being right on the front and only 15-20 minutes walk to The Lanes. The car park is a bit on the tight side but it’s secure and being underneath the hotel very useful. Despite not checking in until 3pm we were allowed to park there from 11am and on the day we checked out could leave the car there until 5pm. The check in was easy & sorted efficiently with very helpful well mannered staff. The room was clean & spacious with really good heating which was particularly useful as it was very cold outside. Never ate at the hotel but did use the bar and found the staff very welcoming. I would use the hotel again & have no hesitation in recommending it

Fantastic long weekend away

Angryface Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

Stayed from Saturday to Tuesday for a leisurely break away with my sister. Upon arrival, Piper checked us in to our room quickly and advised us of breakfast times. Room was a premium suite, room 263, situated right at the back of the hotel and up the stairs. Not a problem for us. Upon arrival the toilet wouldn’t flush which we mentioned to Piper, who apologised, and this was fixed when we returned later in the evening. Beds were comfortable, shower was nice and big and the room was clean. Tv and fresh bottled water and towels replaced daily. Breakfast on the Sunday was a buffet style which was fine, Monday and Tuesdays we were asked to order from the menu as they weren’t that busy. The food was so much nicer this way and I got to have poached eggs freshly cooked instead of the standard fried. Coffee machines were decent and you can have as many as you want. As well as juices and pastries etc. All staff we came across were pleasant and friendly enough. Bar area and reception area as decorated as you would expect in Brighton. We had one bad nights sleep due to being woken at around 3am by some noisy females next door but that was also to be expected on a weekend in Brighton. Overall we will definitely stay here again if the price is right, the location on the seafront was perfect for us, as we ventured to a lot of pubs/bars and we were able to walk too and from the train station. Yes, the hotel is in need of a fresh lick of paint and a new carpet but how much of your time do you actually spend sitting in reception when you’re away?!

Great staff and location

Stayed one night visiting family. Second stay. The staff are helpful, friendly and welcoming. The room was spacious and the bed supremely comfortable. There is parking on site that is first come first served basis and we were fortunate on both stays to secure a spot. Parking is chargeable but at reduced price if you sign up as an Accor member. Although our room was above the reception it was quiet and restful and we weren’t disturbed by any noise. The breakfast was plentiful both continental and cooked and the staff there helpful and friendly. The hotel’s lobby Is decorated with bright artworks, prints and furnishings and plenty of seating. The only issue we noted was in our bathroom. The bath and loo were on raised platforms which was awkward to say the least and quite dangerous really. Use the bath mat provided or you’ll end up like Torvil and Dean in the bath. Getting out of the bath is a challenge. The carpets in the hotel are very worn and stained in some areas and need replacing, a bit off putting tbh. These are just aesthetic gripes as the hotel areas are clean and as mentioned the staff are great. The pricing is favourable too and we would recommend and stay again as first choice hotel, manky carpet aside.

Made very welcome by reception and bar staff. Was able to leave luggage pre-check in which was great. Got room upgrade due to gold membership, nice welcome in room and free drink. Also late checkout which was a nice start to a wet windy Monday. Room nicely decorated. Nice to see some of the old hotel features but nice modern room. Only downside no plug sockets near bed or in a great place for kettle. If you had cases not really anywhere to put them. Staff were lovely and welcoming.

Cosy hotel on the seafront

Booked through an events company and we were very pleased with the location. The only complaint was that after the concert we arrived back and the bar was closed and no food or room service. Knowing there were a lot of people returning from the gig we found this surprising and black of foresight. Also the breakfast room is far too small and crowded to cope with a large amount of guests. Food kept running out and it was difficult to get what you wanted.
