Mummyrfrance Families - TripAdvisor review

Well what can I say Julie is so nice and friendly, she was very welcoming to myself and my daughter when we arrived to check in. The hotel clearly has some history and I loved the wooden doors and the detail everywhere. The room 104 was perfect for our needs and very comfortable but It was too hot for us but the window did open and thankfully the heating went off after 9pm, maybe that’s something that needs looking into! I throughly enjoyed my bath and my 6 year old was happy so we will be returning on a regular basis so my daughter can attend her classes each Monday. Thank you !

Not clean, uncomfortable bed,

The room wasn’t clean enough, particularly the bathroom. The taps in the bathroom stiff and the hot water was scalding. I found the bed and pillows to be quite uncomfortable and of poor quality. The hot breakfast wasn’t great which I found surprising. Check in took a while despite a small queue.

Rough Around the Edges - silly things missed

Booked 2 rooms for family. Asked for interconnecting rooms ahead of checkin. Although the hotel was dead we couldn’t have our request accommodated. No problem. Both rooms we had were very large in the original old part of hotel, with TLC they could be quite grand rooms. In our case we had damp patches on ceilings, dirty carpets and below par finishes. Shower gel was empty in both rooms, which is a simple thing to get right. To top off despite being eligible and telling me I was, my ALL points weren’t allocated and I’ve had to ring round the houses to get sorted. It could be a very nice hotel, but I’ve had better travelodge and EasyHotel rooms.

In beautiful setting

Could not fault any staff members, however, the bedroom sill was rotton and had lots of rot and mould, not only on the sill, but on the surrounding wall.. The wall by the window was only half painted and damp stains on curtain lining
