Room was dirty, there was a used nappy in the bin. Mentioned to reception and receptionist said nothing theybcud do about the room or change to another room as the hotel was fully booked.

We were attending a family wedding and this hotel was suggested as most people were staying there. Polite welcome, room clean and comfortable. Our son and his partner had no hot water in their shower on the Friday morning and ours was tepid. Very good breakfast.

Had a pleasant stay at the hotel. Wasn't busy so it was nice. Staff are pleasant and place is generally clean and tidy. Good value for money. Food is very good. Limited menu but always arrives in good time and is very well presented.

I attended my husbands funeral so location was ideal. Bed very clean but mattress hard as was the pillows so not a good nights sleep. Very basic, bathroom ceiling covered in mould. Good breakfast.

Where do I begin! Attended the wedding here of very dear friends... 1st problem was wedding started at 2.30 therefore the wedding party(6 of them) were not allowed to put bags in their rooms till 3 and not offered anywhere to store them. 3 bridesmaids were given rooms then told they had wrong rooms so we're moved. Bride told she could not have room she booked 2 years ago due to having to leave it 72 hours for covid. Next morning Bride asked if they could leave the room an hour later. Was told no as they had to get it ready fir next people arriving that afternoon... er what happened to 72hr rule! Champagne missed off one of the tables therefore toasting speeches with empty glasses. White wine, red wine and beer was supposed to be served at the meal, white wine and rosè were served.... no red.. no beer... leaves you to wonder how much pilfering was going on. Change round from dinning to evening do we were left in bar with lots of guests but only half dozen chairs. Buffet was dry and tidied away without notice to guests that it was being cleared. Daughter, partner and 4 year old attending wedding had room booked by member of daytime wedding party who was in the ceremony were told they could not go into room before it was paid for so had to wait in their car for an hour till ceremony was over and they could find them to go pay. No info given that you have to pay first before you go into your roomNo assistance offered, no alternative given to sitting in the car, this was a disabled young woman... appalling behaviour by the duty manager. 2 friends in motorhome arrived at 1 in the afternoon and not told till 11pm in eve that they couldn't stay in car park. Had to stay in hotel or police would be called was the response from the duty manager... could have said something way earlier so it could be moved before having alcohol. They had to pay to stay in hotel.. fuming... we're they only spoke to at that point because the manager new they had no option but to pay to stay in the hotel as they'd been drinking so couldn't drive? Another feeling of being conned. This group of hotels and especially the Bankfield in Bingley have terrible reviews and reputation all over the world. Get your act together and start addressing the problems instead of asking for reviews and totally ignoring your clients. Will NEVER stay at this branch of hotels every again!!!

The hotel is beautiful. We were made very welcome. The staff were all excellent and our room was lovely. Jame was superb and even managed to fix the radiator which was not working. We will definitely stay again.

Quite a few "little problems"

It was a large group booking and a few of us had minor issues. Bulbs not working, radiators not working, missing fuse on bathroom radiator. However the biggest issue was the breakfast. While the food was warm by the time it hit your cold plate and you got back to your table, it too was cold. Also, with regards to the dining room, we found it unprofessional that staff members were coming out to use the customers drink making facilities while the area was busy. Surely they can make a brew in the kitchen! All in all, it was an ok stay, the main disappointment being the breakfast which is one of the things I really look forward to when staying in a hotel.

Unfortunately we are no longer allowed heated rails in the bathrooms because of safety legislation. I am not aware of any lighting or heating issues on the second floor of the Bronte building but I will ask the Maintenance Manager to check the rooms you stayed in. My biggest regret with your review is the issues you experienced with breakfast. I completely agree that associates should not be using the coffee machine in the restaurant and I am writing a directive to that effect. I am sorry the food was not hot because of the unheated plates when you sat to eat it, I will see if we can add a plate warmer to alleviate this in future. We checked in late on the 22nd October, the lady said there was issues with the room but we eventually got it sorted. It was a family occasion, so I had my wife and 2 young children with me as we had a wedding to attend. The bath was really bad, looked like it was something out of a horror movie (pictures attached) and the toilet didn't flush properly too, which was a nightmare as no-one could use it if they needed a longer toilet, instead had to walk downstairs to where your bar is. The next day, I complained to the reception about the issues, he said he would have someone look at the issues when we are attending the wedding. And obviously nothing was done, hence my complaint. I don't like complaining, but the fact that I couldn't bath my children or even let them go to the toilet for a few days I think is worth something being said. I hope you have a look into this as I would hate for other families would not have to go through the same as we did.

We are faced with the challenges of an aged building and this inevitably shows. I was the staff member that inspected the room while you were out during the day on Saturday 23rd October. I found that the toilet was flushing as we would expect with a double u-bend toilet commonly found in buildings from the 1960s, some guests do find the level of the water unexpected but that is normal operation. The staining on the bath is not dirt, rather it is the enamel on the bath fading with age. We fully intend to replace these when our commercial status allows in this post-pandemic environment but please rest assured the bath is completely hygienic despite this discolouration. We appreciate your sharing your concerns, and it is our hope that you will soon give us the opportunity to serve you to the usual high standards we expect. We had an enjoyable trip with national Holidays spoiled by your hotel. Traveling all day to have an evening meal that we couldn't eat chicken was as dry as sticks veg was luke warm roast potatoes hard as nails. Fish over powering and pasta looked and smelled like vomit. We looked to get just a sandwich but 8 pound for 1 sandwich and there were 4 of us £32 for 4 sandwichs!!!!!!! Our rooms were freezing we had elderly couple in our group who couldn't get warm. And couldn't have a shower as water as luke warm and they couldn't use bath as they wouldn't have been able to get in or out of the bath. FIX YOUR HEATING AND IMPROVE YOUR FOOD.

I am quite surprised as I was serving the meal and oversaw that all the guests from National Holidays took their share of each course and enjoyed them as you would expect. Did you raise the fact that you did not enjoy the evening meal to my team on the night – as they would certainly have sought to resolve the issue and provide an alternative meal if appropriate? It is a shame to read that the prices you experienced were more than you expected. As a nationwide group with a diverse portfolio of properties including significant city centres, our pricing strategy needs to apply to all our hotels. I will of course pass your feedback to our head office for consideration of changing this policy. I am really disappointed to hear that on one morning of your stay, hot water was not available in your room. One of our hot water boilers has been identified as requiring replacement which is underway. In the meantime, and as part of our commitment to ensuring our guests have the best possible experience, we have introduced scheduled inspections of the boiler at three hourly intervals to ensure this never happens to another guest. My breakfast whilst there was a good choice the full English part was cold. I had to ask for mine to be warmed up which was disappointing.
