The one negative concerns the bedrooms which are a little tired and in need of some refurbishment. However they are VERY clean. The staff were fantastic, friendly, helpful and cheerful. Welsh hospitality at its best. We had dinner in the lounge and throughly enjoyed the food and service.

A great stay at the Swansea Mercure again, 7/2. Staff are always so friendly and welcoming, and remember our names. We had a lovely room and nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to all the staff for making us feel comfortable in very difficult personal circumstances.

Don't take anything valuable

Me and my partner stayed and accidentally left something in the room. When we rang to get it sent back to us, they told us housekeeping 'didnt find anything' when we know the item was 1000% there. Deffo do not take anything of value if staying here, or it may end up with a new home.

Needs a deep clean

I have stayed at the Swansea Mercure regularly and have gradually become more disappointed. The hotel especially the rooms need a really goo deep clean, round the taps and shower especially grimy. The TV remote was filthy as was the fan in the bathroom. The sink was cracked and the carpet / curtains stained. The food was also average at best but expensive. I am not the only one from my orgaisation who has complained.

Well located, Great stay!

Rooms were clean, restaurant and bar pretty great. Close to the shops, a tesco extra and all the basics around including a petrol pump - so great for travellers on holiday! Staff were lovely too. Breakfast buffet is recommended, hot and cold choices - food was fresh and delicious. The hotel may be an older building so the floor is a bit squeaky when walking around the room. The TVs are not smart, so you can't log in to your netflix via the TV. Rooms are spacious too. I could only fault the old TVs since it's a 4 star, but everything else was perfect. I'd love to stay there again! Staff let us check in a little early too - greatly appreciated! Though we ended up checking in late since we went sight seeing! Also, if you get hungry, you can order food to your room from a few different restaurants.
