I’ve stayed in this hotel before during November 2020 and I believe my experience was way better then. My room was better. This time my room wasn’t the best, there was stains on the carpet, I also saw bits of blood or dirt on my towel. The room was quite disappointing compared to the room I got on my last stay. Last time my room was bright, big and super clean.

great service from the team - i stay here often and the standards are consistently high even during the current pandemic- Geoff on the front desk is really positive and nothing is too much trouble the dining staff are doing a great job with the room service menus delivering hot fresh food at great value to your door

Staff were lovely, hotel clean and bed comfy. Food over priced £3.50 for 2 slices of a garlic baguette?? Had to change room at 9pm on the 2nd night due to noise next door. Was informed alot of contractors stay there and can be noisy, it was like a frat party ( which considering it is lockdown and no one should be mixing indoors,even if work together, was surprising). This is something that the staff knows goes on but I would think it feels intimidating for them to have to confront a group of men. The idea is the breakfast bag is good would be nice if could choose what to have in it rather than it be set.

Warm welcome received, room very clean and lots of Covid secure enhancements noted around the hotel. Evening meal was room service only but good variety of meals on offer (and I'm vegetarian) and meal was hot and tasty. Only negatives- no heating in the bathroom and the shower water pressure was very weak.

Stayed at the Mercure Hull on christmas day, we had a family room which was huge - the room was dated but clean and warm. The double bed in the room was very comfortable but one of the single beds was very uncomfortable, it was like being on a trampoline, needs a new mattress. The shower was hot and powerful and the coffee/tea facilities are well stocked. Friendly staff and an easy check in/check out. Would definitely stay here again if in the area and would recommend.

Friendly staff doing their best in difficult circumstances. No heating in the (very cold) bathroom. I was told that all the heated towel rails in the bathrooms had been de-commissioned.

The reception desk was manned by friendly and competent staff, the room was well appointed and although it was a brief stay i was happy with the visit and would certainly stay at this hotel again. Some numpty wanted a cigarette in their room and set off the fire alarm but that's not the hotels fault just some idiot guest, a bit of a panic and wide eyes momentarily but as i say no fault of the hotel...

Reception staff very helpful. Bed was very good. We would have been happier with a walk in shower rather than a climb in bath shower. Our days for gymnastics . have passed. Will return when virus allows full operation.

This was my second stay at the Hotel, this time I opted for a Privilege Room at very little extra cost. The room was very generously sized and spotlessly clean. The separate bedroom was a good size with a very comfortable bed and wall mounted TV. The lounge area was equipped with a small table, a desk, sofa, large wall mounted TV and tea/coffee making area. The tea making area featured ample tea and coffee making facilities including Kettle, Nespresso coffee machine and a fridge. The bathroom, although dated, was well equipped, clean and functional, the only fault i could see was a large crack in the wash basin. Staff at the Hotel were all polite, friendly and helpful, all COVID secure measures were in place with sanitising stations in various locations. Will definitely stay again
