We were staying for one night to attend our daughters wedding. Check in was not very professional - staff were stood around looking and ignoring us, no-one came forward, so a lady who was on a phone call dealt with us (she was very pleasant but someone else should have dealt with us rather than just standing around). The lift was out of order, we weren't told this before we arrived. Room was OK - a bit tired, went to hang up a light jacket and hook fell off the wall. Restaurant was closed for the night (again, we weren't told this). My son and I had to resort to room service (via an App) as my husband was away with the car; food was OK but very expensive. Breakfast was good and very well stocked. We all slept well, which is good (even the 6 foot teenager in a roll out bed!). The hotel is tired and in need of some repairs and redecoration.

One stopped for one night, but it served its purpose for us. Dog friendly hotel where we were given a ground floor room due to having our dog with us. Easy access to the back gardens. Staff were friendly and helpful.

On arrival at your hotel we received our room cards and our room was on the second floor, we were told the lifts were broken so they couldn't be used, once at our room the key card would not work so a trip downstairs to sort this out then back to the room, which then worked. Once in the room it was clean but looked a little tired, there was tea and coffee but no biscuits which we have always found in other hotels (Premier Inn, Travel lodge) We were there for a wedding held at the hotel, on entering the reception everyone noticed how cold it was, so many of the guests were sat with their coats on at the tables, we were told someone had been asked three times if the heating could be turned on, as this is arranged so far ahead I would have thought the temperature would have been sorted out beforehand. On a positive note the food was excellent as was the service, the staff singing entertainment was equally exceptional, so the kitchen staff I would rate an 8 or 9 for their service but I'm afraid the hotel in itself let it down.
