Well located for our purposes. Overall the building is a bit tired, but the rooms are spacious, comfortable and warm. The breakfasts are good, either a buffet or cooked freshly to order at quiet times. The advantage of this hotel is that you can always get an evening meal and the food is good. The staff are pleasant and helpful.

I stayed for 3 nights whilst my husband was in a nearby hospital having undergone open heart surgery. The hotel was very flexible and changed my booking twice as his operation date was postponed. The staff were amazing and made me feel very welcome and the service was impeccable. The hotel itself is a little tired in appearance but the room was comfortable, well appointed and very clean. I would highly recommend it.

We held our wedding here on New Year’s Eve. From start to finish it was a disappointment. The hotel had two coach parties staying at the same time which made the facility unable to cope with the demand. We ran the wedding ourselves! The food was poor quality and a complete lack of communication throughout the day. The rooms and building is tired and is need of a refurb.

We stayed for two nights. The bathroom needed renovation, with mould marks prominent within the silicone seals around the bath. The bath itself was too small. On the first day, the breakfast buffet was poorly stocked, and the staff made little effort to top up serving platters with more food, such as slices of bread.
