The management and staff at this hotel are working above and beyond to turn this hotel around and are doing a terrific job. The food was absolutely excellent. Rooms were lovely and clean and the beds were very comfortable. The management really cared about hotel guests.

My wife and I stayed at the Mercure Hull for one night as we were passing on a long journey from the north of England to the south. The large car park made parking very straightforward when we arrived. Check in was quick. All of the staff we spoke to were super friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, but looking rather tired and in need of refurbishment. But it was comfortable and had everything we needed. There was a decent buffet breakfast, although there were no scrambled eggs (just fried ones)! Is that a Hull thing? I can’t remember the last time I stayed in a hotel that didn’t have scrambled eggs at the buffet breakfast. Overall though we had an enjoyable stay and would use the Mercure Hull again.

Stayed in a bridal suite with four poster bed, which was very nice. The only problem was the bath/shower taps, which were broken and parts missing, which resulted in very little water pressure. Generally the hotel needs more attention to maintain its natural beauty.

We found a pair of jeans that had be left in a corner of the room along with rubbish on the floor of the bedroom, left by the previous guests
