Hotel in great location some staffing issues

I booked a standard double room well in advance at the hotel got to my room and it was a twin room not a double.we went to the restaurant in the evening and was told there was a 45 minute wait for a table i found this strange as there was only 4 people in the restaurant. Tried to book for the evening after and got messed about tried to book at the restaurant the reception and the bar. Swimming pool is a play pool for children not good for adult swimming. Breakfast was very good staff new what they were doing and asked how are stay was going. Gym sauna and hot tub were good. Lots of swimming lessons taking place so pool was very busy.

Well located, comfortable, reasonably priced. Dog friendly and our dog loved the grounds. Breakfast could be better. But what was on offer is ok.

We have stayed with murcure 3 times this year and honestly it’s because of the staff we were made to feel very welcome any problems they handled it swiftly…. Johnson at breakfast was lovely & Ernest and his family were also friendly another lady to mention was Silvia she was always smiling….. we will definitely revisit and recommend to friends

Rooms need renovating

The rooms need renovating badly - chipped skirting boards, dirty black pipes in bathroom, damaged bedside cabinet and ripped pillow cases. The room was on a corridor leading to the fitness center, and there was constant noise from people going that way. Staff were very pleasant. Good location and parking.

A very nice 2 for stay

Having stayed 2 nights here we have nothing but praise. Upon arriving we checked into our room which had an unpleasant odour we went to reception and were quickly upgraded with no issue at all and the double room we had was lovely. Very clean with a comfortable bed everything we needed for a two.night stay. We used the health club for a swim and jacuzzi which was lovely and clean and the pool was so warm which is always a bonus. We had a couple of drinks in the bar which was also nice albeit a bit pricy but you are in a hotel. Breakfast was buffet style and there was so much choice and all good quality. The staff of the hotel are very kind, helpful and friendly. All in all a very nice stay and the hotel is perfectly placed for the city centre and Chester Zoo. Would have no.issues with staying here again 😀
