We had a bad experience as it was 5 degrees overnight and we had no heating. We told reception and was offered a dismal 20% discount which we accepted because we just wanted to leave. Breakfast was poor and the staff at breakfast just didn’t seem to want to be there. Also the fan in the bathroom didn’t work so everything got steamed up. On a positive note the staff on reception and behind the bar were very good.

Very disappointed with the hotel and staff. The reception staff all told us different things and none of them seemed to know exactly how the hotel was run. We originally booked for just one night, but added on the night before to avoid the Easter traffic. On arrival, the first receptionist told us we would have to change room after the first night and was really off about it. In the confusion, he told us to enter our car registration. As it was a hire car, and with what was going on, I entered 1 digit incorrectly. The following morning, we packed up all our belongings and went to reception to check out. The lady asked us why we were doing this as we could just stay in the same room. She kept apologising for the previous receptionist. She said that we could go back to the room and asked us to pay for the second night. We said that we had booked for an evening meal and breakfast. She told us that this had all been added and we paid. There was no need to reenter the car registration as it had been done the day before. During the day it dawned on me that I had made a mistake with the car registration. When we got back to the hotel I told yet another receptionist. She couldn't have cared less. We were told to enter the new registration and if we got a fine it would be our own fault. Charming. I then had to track down the management company to tell them of the mistake. Just got to wait and see what happens. The meal plan is very misleading. We were told we could have anything with an "s" on it and have 3 courses. It was only at the end that we were told we only got £25 off for each person. Not exactly "included" in the price! We also wanted to use the pool, but because of a baby being allowed to swim without a nappy / swimsuit, the water had become contaminated with faeces. Lovely. The building itself is tired and in poor condition. The floors creek, the walls are lined with painted corrugated sheets, the doors are all scratched, the heated towel rails are freezing cold, and the shower pressure is low. Avoid. Definitely not worth the money.

Warm welcome from reception, room clean, breakfast great, staff friendly, unfortunately had find a member of staff to get served at the bar on more than one occasion, evening meal disappointing had a voucher for two courses for £22 only a small selection of items actually available on the deal so be aware, overall good stay

We enjoy the hotel as we have stayed previously. I only have a few comments, first think it would be nice to have something in the room with information on timings. I think is it possible to have smaller tvs in the room with maybe a built in dvd player.
