Disappointed with the Food & Leisure Facilities

Received an email to 'upgrade dinner package' and we did. Got to the hotel and the receptionist had no idea what this was, she had to get the manager, who said that was fine and charged £15.00. Manager also stated that "the head office send out these emails and never inform us about guests wanting the specials". Went to the spa next, to find it was closing at 6:45pm on a Saturday evening. Therefore only got 30mins to enjoy. Next went down to the 'bar' that was also providing meals. Bar tender had no idea what the meal deal was, spoke to reception who said 'anything off the menu'. My first request apparently was not available, nor the 2nd. Bar tender had to call the same manager who informed me that I could only get items that did not have the S next to them.....Majority of the items that were available (manager said they had not got orders in for the week)... was under or just up to £15.00. Ordered the Steak and Ale & Calamari.....Waited for over an hour, finally the Calamari came and was over done. The Steak and Ale finally came and decided to take up to the room to eat.... Harder than a rock, terrible. Next morning got up at 7am to have breakfast, looked and tasted as though it was made the day before, terrible!!! Croissants & Pastries crumbled & harder than a rock...... Went to the Leisure facility at 8am, to find No Staff about....Manager on duty said Leisure facility was not apart of the hotel and no guests can enter until their staff arrive and test the pool....... 9am gave up and checked up. Terrible, have no desire to ever return, what a disgrace for ACCOR

Clean, tidy hotel. All facilities you need and lovely food . Staff very attentive, well worth a visit. We went for a weekend on a trip and chose this hotel as was dubious about the other hotels that were also offered on similar trips , (Grand National).

I was not happy because I booked and paid for early check-in at 10,but when I got there the lady at the desk told me I have to wait because the room she has for me will be ready at 11:30 which was not fair. I came with my two children one was so tried and the little girl was running temperature which she needs to sleep after taking her medication.

Got a really good deal on a two night stay with my family. The price included breakfast and the use of the gym and pool facilities. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and Irene behind the bar made sure the drinks were flowing. The breakfast had everything you could need for a good start to the day and coming down a bit late,one morning was no problem for the chef to make up extra food for their absent minded guests. The rooms were clean and all you needed for a comfortable stay Will definitely return.

Great welcome in particular Irene the bar lady was very hospitable and offered service with a warm smile. The front of house were helpful and accommodating. The welcome was much appreciated after a long and arduous journey. Very comfortable surroundings and excellent amenities.
