I have never written a 1/5 review before - but absolutely necessary on this occasion and the only saving grace for this hotel was that we ate there and the food was delicious and the waiter, Thomas, was fantastic! Don't stay in this hotel in winter - their heating system doesn't work properly and the rooms are cold! I am currently still seeking complaining with the hotel about this issue. I have made six attempts to get my point across and still not received an apology. Three times we asked for heaters whilst there. The first two times, we were promised them. The last time we were told there was none. We had to wait 10 minutes for a lift to check out and on the strength of this, missed our train. Reception was so busy that we daren't miss another train. Our other issue was that we had no hot water. The shower was, at best, lukewarm and the shower head so low that you had to bob down below it. The shower head had a crack on it, so the water went everywhere. We were also told that the issue had started on Friday when we arrived - but we later found a feedback form from a previous guest who had made the same complaints. Whilst there, we overheard numerous people complaining and spoke to people as well, some of them told us that they had been moved to other rooms - we weren't offered that privilege

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the front desk had finally been moved to the ground floor! I always found going to the first floor to check in a bit cumbersome. I was I but early but thankfully my room was ready. I was hopefully expecting a revamped room in keeping with the new reception. First thing I noticed that the room was cold ! and the outer glass of the double glazed window was soaking wet .The air conditioning/heating did not really warm the room , I phoned for a heater , 30 minutes later it arrived but was not working! . A replacement did eventually work but to be honest the room was still cold . The hotel is not “ 4 star” as advertised . The rooms need a revamp/ refresh especially the windows, they are old and dirty! The sfaff were great and apologetic, I have stayed at this property a few times , unfortunately this was my worst experience purely down to the cold room , not really worth the money !

The hotel itself is nice - great location, clean rooms and great facilities. Unfortunately the walls are extremely thin. I could hear every detail of personal phone calls, and unfortunately my neighbour had the TV on loud. I did call reception and ask for ear plugs but they don't have any and made no attempt to lower noise levels despite it being 12am. It's a shame as otherwise a great hotel so bring your own ear plugs if you do want to stay here as everything else is great. I did also hear others complain at reception about noise levels so it would be nice if feedback was taken on board.

Had a lovely stay. Front desk was super welcoming, especially Anna! Room was great, as was the location. Enjoyed the perks of rewards membership. Only negative was there were a lot of fruit flies at the bar when I redeemed my free drink coupon.
