Heavily worn out rooms. Heating working only evenings and night. Very noisy flow. Poor housekeeping ( no towels no shower gel no coffee cups just the lids, no shower gel)

Hidden £10 parking charge. Boiling hot room with window that opens a very small amount onto a bird poo filled roof. 1950 shower with no water pressure. Dirty bed sheets, two super thin pillows. This hotel let down the mercure name, will NEVER return hear again.

Noisy stay

Hotel was in a great location but a room facing the road was very loud. Pubs and clubs were supposed to close at 10pm but they were still going at 2am.

Extremely well located Hotel. Downtown shops & malls are virtually a minute's walk away. The employees at the reception were very polite and most helpful. The room was very clean indeed, and we were assured that it was thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, in line with covid19 measures. There is a very convenient parking at a reasonable cost, behind the hotel. Had the rear Hotel exit/entry been available to hotel guests to access the parking at any time, it would have been super. We stayed in room 201. The shower head water pressure in our room was extremely low, to the point that one must practically lean against the wall in order to take a shower. This was very inconvenient. We would have preferred two pillows per bed/guest, instead of just one (did not ask for more pillows though - in retrospect, we should have...). In addition, on day four, a rather large (!) black spider was spotted running across the room carpet (see comment below about window). The coffee provided is good but not great. Very good touch, is the inclusion of decaff sachets. Drinking Chocolate sachets would have been great! There were plenty of power outlets in our room, but none next to the nightstands, so that mobile phones & tablets could be used in bed, while charging. Lastly, one of the two slider windows of our room was stuck open (about 6-7 inches).
