Really enjoyed our stay. Reception staff were lovely and very welcoming. Lady in charge of breakfast amazing. We had dinner in the restaurant and thought the menu quite limited and the guy in charge not at all welcoming and very abrupt.

Lovely area and building, staff were nice and helpful. The room was ok, but very hot and no way to cool it down as window only open a few inches and only had a small fan. The carpet was stained and worn, lots of marks on walls, one wardrobe did not have a hanger rail, it basically needs painting and new carpets and refurb. The public areas are lovely big rooms but in similar condition, very tired, it needs a full refurbishment, it has the potential to be a amazing hotel. We decided to eat in the restaurant for our evening meal because they had vegetarian/vegan options, unfortunately they did not have any plant based burgers, so my wife had to choose a cheese pizza, so we asked for extra toppings to make it nicer but they didn't bother to put them on, the pizza was very poor, hard, not fresh (I suspect just a frozen one), however to their credit they did not charge for this. The other meals were ok. Breakfast the next morning was nice and a good choice. Unless changes were made (refurbishment & new/better menu etc) I would not stay here again.

We were a party of 12 celebrating my 60th Birthday with our children & grandchildren. The staff were absolutely amazing! Totally met all our needs. The bedrooms were spacious and clean. The food was fab too. We will definitely return. Big shout out to Francesca on reception that helped plan our stay and who was super helpful and Polite. Also to all the restaurant staff who were so attentive and helpful. I would highly recommend to all.
