Parking was extremely difficult as no spaces on tarmac. Only space left was on rough uneven ground under a tree that deposited resin onto the car. Room was good and clean. TV remote control sound and channel changing did not work effectively. Bar was inadequately staffed from 6pm onwards. Breakfast staff were good, friendly and helpful. Evening snack meal was good and well presented.

My family and I stayed 1 night. We loved the hotel , the staff were all very nice, and our breakfast was excellent. Beds are large and very comfortable. The only downside is the room we had on the 4th floor was to hot and the fan did little to improve this. We are aware that being a listed building they can’t install air conditioners, but an investment of some portable ones may make guests more comfortable. Other than that issue we were very happy with our stay.

Stay was fine but food in restaurant was very poor & overpriced. Some staff were charming, others not so!
