Staff fantastic, food lovely and rich. Drinks prices fair. Room was a bit noisy and some carpet stains throughout hotel. Just could be better

Really enjoyed our couple of days stay at Bowden hall. Had a classic dog friendly room (136) very spacious and clean near fire exit door for taking the dog out without going through the hotel options to take the dog into the lounge or bar with you if you want. Lovely grounds not as big as I thought but adequate to walk round. Also walking distance to Upton st Leonard. Staff here all really friendly and polite and helpful. Food lovely more typical British food than fancy al a carte but suited us as that what we liked. We are both nights in the restaurant breakfast buffet style good choice not too much out at a time so stayed hot not scrambled eggs though🙁. Overall a really nice enjoyable few days. Loved the dog bowl and bonio's for the dog. Only thing think it lacked was a small fridge in the room. We went in November when it snowed and took extra milk and juice so it was ok but in the summer I would think be quite hot in the room as the sun shines in through there. Special thanks to the lady on reception who was from Latvia who greets us every day with a smile. Would definitely go back again. Anita John and Tilly the dog.

From the minute of our arrival, the staff and the location of our room helped our stay with our dog feel relaxed and inclusive. We were aware that we would not be allowed in the restaurant however every time we ate, evening or morning a place was laid for us in the lounge area and Jasper was made to feel very welcome. It was a very busy weekend with wedding, sewing group and seminars ongoing but we were always looked after. We will look forward to joining you again.
