Lovely hotel in a nice setting with wonderful staff made for a great stay. We stayed over a very busy and obviously challenging weekend for the staff who dealt with all the challenges in a very professional manor. Great staff made the stay and we would definitely stay here again.

I was asked, on departure, if I wanted my receipt emailed to me which I agreed. 3 days later I have still not received my receipt. The receptionist, when I checked my email address was correct, indicated to me that the middle character in the names was incorrect. I hope that she corrected it. Overall accommodation and food was excellent, but experience has been spoilt by not being able to confirm that I have been charged correctly

The hotel is lovely but the interiors were a bit tired. Our room was comfortable but the curtains wouldn’t fully close, the pillows were very old and flat and the plastic strip at the bottom of the shower screen was green and black with mould. The carpet was threadbare in places and stained. Whilst this did not spoil our stay, I just expected better. The breakfast was extremely good and the dinners were nice, but nothing exceptional. However, all of the staff were first class. They were all friendly, helpful and professional. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Just a quick overnight stay as we were visiting relatives who live close by. The staff were very polite and friendly, nice room with comfortable beds and a great breakfast!
