First night at the mercure

Down here for work sadly… however Had a great first night at the hotel! A few issues during the night due to guests setting off fire alarms, however the staff were brilliant with the situation! The waiting staff and food were brilliant, Tom the bar man was very accommodating over the evening and kept us happy.

Is it dog friendly? Is it a friendly hotel?

Within a month we stayed at the hotel on two separate occasions. On both occasions we took two well behaved dogs. They advertise dog friendly, not one member of the staff spoke once about the dogs, also there was no water available no bins to get rid of dogs poos, usually there is a jar of treats, absolutely nothing. The staff overall were not very friendly or happy except the Irish man in the restaurant. The elderly lady in her gardening clothes at breakfast was close to being obnoxious and unfriendly. The breakfast was good if you don’t have the rubber eggs, dinner was fine with good service. /unfriendly.
