Great location and price for my needs on this trip, freindly helpfull staff. The only problem I encountered was ghe free WiFi after numerous attempts to connect my device's to the WiFi and kept coming up with error messages or unable to connect which was really frustrating.
Less than the minimum

I am disappointed by the quality of service in this hotel. Mercure being in the mid-range, I was not expecting luxury, but when it comes to the basics, they were simply not there. Upon arrival, a plexiglass screen was placed on the reception desk as a protective measure against Covid-19, which is good, however, the Front Office Manager and a receptionist were sitting behind the counter and naturally checked me in, seated the during the entire process, me standing ! Again, I was not expecting fantastic guest relations but the minimum courtesy would have been to stand before a client. I really felt I was at the post office or at a ticket counter at the train station. I tried to contact reception from my room but the phone had no tone. I tried again, but I faced the same problem again. The cable was plugged in but the phone was not working. As I went outside, I stopped at reception and a young receptionist simply told me: “Oh yes, we know, phones are not working.” Besides the inconvenience caused it causes legitimate safety concern, as no guest can be contacted in their room in case of an emergency. Internet was not working properly. I was constantly logged off or simply could not get any signal. The receptionist gave me alternative log in credentials on another server. As apparently they have had this problem for some time. Upon returning to my room, I realised there was no glass or plastic glass in the bathroom. So I was unable to even drink water from the tap. The shower cubicle was extremely small and could hardly move while taking a shower without bumping the panels, which were not fully water-tight. I am really unhappy about my stay there and definitely will not return there.
Nice short stay

It is my second time in this hotel. The room and Bathroom are quite big and there is terrace (good for smokers). Most surprising was bad smelt like something old or mold, the same as 4-5 years ago. If you stay more nights, room service did not deliver new coffee bags and sugar, so you need to ask for it at reception. The same with Shampoo...
Would stay again

Arrived for a weekend away with friends late on Friday. Check in was completed quickly and politely. Was at first disappointed to find I was on the top floor, however I was pleasantly aupriraes to find I had been assigned a Privelege Room, which was probably bigger than the ground floor of my house. Had a separate bedroom and living room area, two balconies as well as ensuite bathroom. Room was clean, modern and bed was comfortable. Nice views of the TV Tower from my room. My top would be to not bother with breakfast at the hotel, as there is a little bakery/breakfast cafe next door which does a very nice French breakfast for 6 euro. They also do a full meat/cheese selection which still undercuts the 18 euro in the hotel. Was very happy with my stay and would happily go back. Even without the privilege room.
