This hotel is an awful struggle.

Poor service, poorly managed and dirty.

Upon arrival I went to restaurant, I patiently waited an hour and no food no drinks. I asked for the wine I ordered and never received it. I finally decided to leave and go to my room and magically my food appeared. I didn’t eat it, it was way too late to eat at that point. The hotel was a ghost town. The people working were not professional, worked as thought they were busy but I didn’t see anyone staying in the hotel. The second night I ordered room service, food was burned. Third night I ordered and after waiting an hour i called to check on it. They said the order was never placed and the guy that took my order left for the day! After 3 phone calls and someone visiting my room I received my meal 2.5 hours later. (Still missing food I ordered). The staff was not trained, dirty trays with food sat in hallways for more than 24 hours, no work out room with ample equipment and the spa was empty. Worst Sofitel experience I have had. I would not recommend it to anyone. It seemed dirty overall.

The hotel has aged a bit but the staff is very kind and attentive. The wifi is working very well. The pool area as well as the beach are well maintained. On top, the gardens are very nice. The food is quite good and the servings are generous: be prepared, though, that meals may look different than the day before. Rooms are spacious and offer the usual amenties. The interior design of the lobby mirrors the country’s heritage and is very tasteful. I particularly want to thank Jordy and Diego from the front desk who were not only very kind and full of smiles but also very professional! The gym needs a make-over and a few more machines for a proper workout.

The staff are not friendly, very hard to see their smile. The breakfast are horrible, I stayed here for almost 3 months never satisfied, uncooked food, delayed of food, poor hygiene, spoiled food, and not presentable.

We were most concerned to read your remarks on the service you expérienced whilst staying among us, mostly because your comments do not reflect the usual standard of service we strive to ensure for our guests, nevertheless please rest assured that your review will be shared with our head of departments for information and further revision. We sincerely regret reading that you were taken ill during your stay and lament not being informed immediately as we would have been able to assist you and call a doctor for a checkup. However we would like to reassure you on our hygienic procedures and point out that our hotel, like every other hotel of our company, undergoes regular internal and external controls on food safety and adheres to strict standards on food processing, manipulation and conservation; under no circumstances we would put our guests’ health at risk by offering food unfit for consumption.
