This hotel was in a beautiful setting up in the hills on the outskirts of a Chiang Mai. We had a Scenery Pavilion room which was amazing. A huge outdoor space with a large jacuzzi. Indoor space was excellent too with plenty of wardrobes, a huge comfortable bed, a large bathroom with twin sinks, along with a shower and bath. The views were lovely and it was very quiet. I recommend the guided morning walk up to the ‘White Castle’ . Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.

Stayed in Scenery Pavillion Room. Very clean room and very beautiful view, especially Metal Pagoda. Staff are excellent, and very friendly with great service.

We had an amazing stay at the Veranda Hotel the views were out of this world especially the breakfast area overlooking the infinity pool and views of the Temple. The staff were so kind and always happy to help. Would definitely stay here again

We booked in for 3 nights but cut short our stay to 1 night. The staff were really welcoming and helpful however this place just wasn't for us. Our room smelt stale. An ashtray and matches were available in the room, so one would assume smoking in the room is inevitable. For non smokers it’s very unpleasant. Beauty is very subjective but from our point of view the buildings are very unattractive, like big grey concrete slabs. The hyped up surroundings were disappointing as Veranda isn’t particularly away from it all. We were imagining it to be up a quiet lane with nothing on it but there are plenty of industrial units just around the corner. Breakfast was generous, quality ok, coffee pretty awful from a machine or a jug. Just not what you’d expect from a five star hotel. Furnishings were tired and a bit basic (student room vibes), quarter of a loo roll available on our arrival. Swimming pool and all other water features just didn’t look that fresh and clean. The place needs a complete makeover to warrant its 5 Star status. We would have liked to share all this in person with the hotel as we feel passionately that we should get some money back from our booking. We found it difficult to find somewhere else to go and when we did we needed to leave promptly which meant we couldn’t voice our opinions in person. There is nothing Veranda could have done to make our stay better however. Arriving to a stale smelling room sets the tone. The rest sadly just followed. Veranda, would you please be willing to refund us for the 2 nights we didn’t stay ? It would at least leave us with the feeling that your understanding and customer service is one of your strong points..,
