Nice Family Room

My family of 3 stayed in the Family Room, which in actual fact are 2 rooms connected via a door. Suitable for families with relatively independent children. The rooms were quiet, clean and spacious; and well equipped with the necessary amenities. We did encounter a couple of issues like toilet not flushing properly and the bath drainage was blocked leading to flooding out to the room entrance area. These were readily rectified. Also, the pool was closed for renovation, but this was not made known to me at the time of reservation. Location wise it is not really near to any attraction or place of interest, but it is convenient and not too costly to hail a taxi.

Functional hotel for a short stay in Chiang Mai

First time staying in this Ibis Styles Chiang Mai as I previously stayed in Novotel Chiang Mai. the hotel is located in a decent location quite close to Chiang Mai zoo and Nimman area. The hotel meets our expectation given that it's reasonably priced. Everything is functioning as it should be and rooms are fairly clean. The reception kindly upgraded us to bigger connecting rooms which can fit 3 adults and 2 young kids comfortably. The coffee at the Tea room is quite nice too. There is a 7-11 nearby and a local wet market near schools. However, not many restaurants within walking distance except some local eateries. There is complimentary car park if you are driving. However, the hotel is showing signs of aging and lacking a bit of character. The biggest disappointment is that the room description states that complimentary breakfast is included in the family rooms but upon check in, they advised that breakfast is not included. I wrote and email to the hotel reservation team and Accor Plus to seek clarification but there was no response at all which was really disappointing. This hotel seems to cater more to tour groups who are there for a short stay. If you just want a simple place to sleep for the night, this hotel meets the requirements but I won't recommend for longer stays.

I am really appreciated the lobby manager,Dream. When I first arrived with a Taxi, I dont have 200 Baht to pay . I ran in the lobby to asked for the change of 1000 Baht but Dream said she didnt have enough cash on hand. When I was suuffering hot to solve the problem, she borrow 200Baht by herself and ask me to give back any of her colleage when I got the money. I really have to thank for her geneerous and helpness.
