Your reception staff are great and all deserve a medal in an otherwise difficult hotel to be employed at. This is not a dig at Accor, but a very honest view on the area this hotel is sited in. I've never stayed in a hotel with so many “unsavoury types” of people who seem to pester your team. It's clear the security guy is needed. I would like to offer you advice on this but really it's just a difficult area. What's brilliant is you directly face the hospital where I work....and I don't know what I would do without you. The other options in the area are less appealing!!! My room....a regular commitment...is generally very good, clean and well serviced. The biggest problem I have is with the bedding! Yep...that's right the bedding. Quite what you kitted the laundry out with originally, I have no idea. What I do know is that this hotel doesn't keep King sized bed linen. Your poor hotel service staff have the difficult task of making my king sized bed up with standard sized bedding. I sort it out with my own....shall we say....creativity. But really it's poor. And I bet it's not the maids fault. All else is good. Seriously....I am generally happy....cheers

I opened the door to my room when I arrived and I immediately noticed approximately 12 dead flies on the floor. I went to Reception and reported this and I was given a different room straight away and I noticed the staff cleaning my original room almost instantly. I was very impressed with this. Reception staff also excellent when needed to speak with them prior to my arrival. Would definitely stay again. Thank you.

I arrived at Ibis Styles in Croydon, opened the door to my room and immediately saw approximately 12 dead flies on the carpet. I went down to Reception to report this and I was immediately given another room and my original room was cleaned straight away (I saw the staff go straight in with a vacuum cleaner and cleaning supplies) . I was very impressed with this and the staff on Reception who I had to speak with prior to my stay, as I didn't know exact dates I would be staying etc, we're absolutely brilliant. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed at this hotel for work. The hotel was full of asylums. People trying to sneak into others rooms. Other guests shouting and slamming doors until midnight. Enough was enough when I was woken up in the morning by the sound of someone being sick. Disgusting Appreciate they had cleaned the rooms before we arrived but the strong smell of tcp gave me a headache while I was trying to sleep. Checked out after 1 night and moved hotel

The Ibis Style in Croydon has excellent Covid safety policies in place and I feel the staff take the virus seriously and adhere to the guidelines as far as I could see.

Good Location, Opposite Hospital...

On a positive note, the public areas, all seem to be recently refreshed and welcoming,. However as soon as you enter the hallways to the rooms, it is clear that this is where the refreshing has indeed stopped, no evidence of work going to be to continued, but it is needed. The hotel is right next door to the Best Western Plus Croydon and looks as though it is managed by the same company. The rooms, whilst over-all were clean and acceptable, the actual feel, and facilities are in clear need of a replacement and/or lick of paint. The TV struggled to offer more than basic channels and the freeview ones were hit and miss. The air con was noisy and impossible to operate whilst sleeping, even on quiet mode. Bathrooms was clean and large with good water pressure, and hot water supply. So, bottom line in my view, not really what I expected of Ibis Styles/Accor and felt that standards were not there in all areas. However I only have one other hotel in the Ibis Styles level and that is Gloucester Road. Perhaps this might be the reason I was disappointed?

Visited my sister in Thornton Heath. Booked one night stay. Only a few minutes drive to Thornton Heath and Croydon. Good budget hotel.

Arrived late. Room bitterly cold. 2 hours before wife took her coat off. Remote for tv in pieces. Breakfast in a bag was disgraceful. I' m diabetic. In my bag 1 orange, 1 yoghurt(sugared) i 1 small packet of rice crispies, small bottle of orange juice. Wife had the same minus the orange juice but plus 2 tiny muffins. Unbelievably poor value. Don't opt for breakfast. Shame because this hotel uzed to have very good buffeg breakfast. I know thsres covid, but this breakfast wad insulting. The worst of any hotel I've ever stayed. Co.me on you, you have to do better.
