The hotel has always been excellent. Initially, it seemed a bit isolated but the redevelopment of Ibis Styles Croydon London means that it is now in a very vibrant neighborhood. Check in is always very efficient. Few have any view but they are spacious with good sized bathrooms. Beds are very comfortable and Quiet, Good housekeeping services. The bar is a bit small and amusing. Still it is a decent place to have drink. Will come back again to stay with my friends and family .

Tired and depressing decor

This large hotel was disappointingly below the standard I've come to expect. The staff were helpful enough but the place is really depressing. The colour theme of the room (grey, blue, orange and more grey) was really unpleasant as was the strong smell of bleach. Corridors were in need of a lick of paint and carpets are worn and in need of replacement. Breakfast was included but there is no hot food available, just a simple cold buffet. The coffee from the machine was pretty tasteless too. I usually go for Ibis because I know what to expect - simple but reliable. This hotel however desperately needs some TLC.

Hotel needs improvement

The hotel room had no tissues or drawers or a closet and having to go downstairs to iron your clothes was quite inconvenient. The faucet in the bathroom was loose and the remote control did not work for the television on most days. Checked out a couple of days ago and still have not received a refund for the additional day that they charged me.

This is my second time of staying in Ibis Styles London Croydon with Students on Educational Tour. I booked 3 rooms for 6 students and myself on Students' Educational Tour to London. Our stay turned out to be a wonderful experience for the students in the hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were offered information freely on our movements. The hotel is also at a strategic location in Croydon with a bus stop right in front of the hotel that makes our movements very easy. It is also convenient to arrive and leave by buses. My room was very spacious and nicely designed. All the rooms we occupied were nicely designed with comfortable beds. Room cleaning were done daily with change of bed sheets and toiletries. Though the students were expecting full English breakfast, but everything still turned out well for them. They all enjoyed their stay in the hotel, though it will be nice if Ibis Styles can also offer full English breakfast. I will surely come back with more students next year. It was not my first stay in this hotel and it will not be the last one. But this time we were confronted to some issues. We were first given the room 262 which had not been cleaned correctly and the heating system did not work. Fortunately the kind lady at the reception gave us the room 210 where everything was fine. She apologized for the incident and we were offered the parking as a compensation. I would recommend the management to double check that the rooms are cleaned properly and that everything works fine in the rooms before renting them.
