There aren't much to say about the rooms. We stayed for only one days so we took the smallest one with one two-person bed. It is just in the centre and like 30 seconds from Leiden Centraal by walking. The view was amazing with the train passing by and all the bikes parked in one line but I guess it is a common view in Netherlands :) It was our first day in Netherlands and the other day we went to our first home in our Netherlands journey. The breakfast was rich with a lot of options and they were all fresh. Not much to expect it was peaceful and gave what we expected and maybe more with the great breakfast we had.

This hotel is only minutes from the Leiden train station. You can be in the hotel lobby from the Amsterdam airport (AMS) in under 30 minutes! Super convenient and easy. From the hotel it’s a quick walk to all the action in Leiden. You can easily walk to supermarkets, restaurants, museums, the university, and all the cute shopping areas. The hotel staff are super. They are friendly and helpful. Egla was very fun to chat with and shared lots of information about the city and country. The rooms are a little small, but they have all you need and the beds are comfortable.

Pay a bit more money and get a nicer hotel.

We stayed at this hotel mainly for it’s location close to the railway station and as we had previously stayed here before several years ago, unfortunately time has moved on and nothing at the hotel has changed except that is now quite grubby and in need of modernising and freshening up. Considering the cost the rooms are quite small and I can’t remember the last time I stayed in a hotel without a decent size flat screen tv. We generally do not make a habit of complaining but during our 2 day visit we had to twice as the toilet was not very clean on arrival and dirty cup replacement, My general opinion is the hotel has now become poor value for money and we will not be returning here on our next visit to Leiden.

We were 6 friends split over three rooms, each with two twin beds. The hotel is well located, super close to the train station and a walking distance from the city centre. The rooms have a decent size and were clean. The bathrooms are a bit dated, but are clean and functional. The twin beds have a thin mattress which is not attached or heavy enough to stay in place during the night, which was a bit annoying.

Very good hotel very near the railway station yet not noisy. Excellent breakfast and friendly staff. In fact whilst breakfast is normally from 6.30am we had an early flight so the reception staff opened up the breakfast area especially for us (2) at 5.30am. Beyond and above!
