Booked this hotel for a weekend netball tournament in Nottingham as we wanted something in the city centre, but hadn’t considered the noise level until we arrived back in the room later that evening … the ear plugs provided by the hotel should have been a giveaway! There was an issue with our room upon arrival and the staff were fantastic moving us to another room, both of which were at the front of the hotel. When we got in bed the music from the bars below was super loud, and the bass thundered away all night, finally stopping at around 4am. It was extremely difficult sleeping and we were all shattered the following morning. We chatted to the manager who was great and was able to move us again to a room on the other side of the hotel and we had a good nights sleep, which was much needed. Breakfast was lovely and cannot praise the manager and staff enough. If you’re out on the town then this is a great little hotel, but you’ll definitely need alcohol if you don’t want to be disturbed by the music!

I’ve seen some poor reviews for this hotel, My experience was fine, The room felt a little dated but pound for pound worth every penny, The Breakfast was fantastic, The buffet was closed so cooked breakfast to order, we visited last minute so booked around 1am for the stop that evening, the hotel itself is a very intresting building, I would rate the whole stop as 3.5 but if i had to choose 3 or 4 i’d certainly go for the higher.

The Hotel is situated right in the heart of the silk quarter, so great for a night out, with loads of bars and restaurants nearby. Check in was very quick, and the staff vere really good when we asked if we could add a further night onto our stay, giving us the same room. Our room itself was immaculately clean, the bed huge and very comfortable. Breakfast was piping hot and very tasty - well worth getting. We noticed a few reviews around the noise coming from outside, but we didn't here that much to be honest, it certainly didn't affect our sleep.

Another good stay in our favourite Nottingham hotel. A very characterful and charming building with nice rooms and very comfortable beds. Location cannot be bettered, right in the heart of Silk Market with good access to everything and bus stop tight outside. Lovely breakfast and very friendly helpful staff. Wouldn’t stay anywhere else in the City.

As expected, "Graduation week " prices hiked up £125.00 per 1 night stay inclusive of breakfast per room. The breakfast fruit was superb the full English breakfast was good though lacking in no black pudding. The room was adequate, not great, but adequate for a 1 night stay. The bathroom was clean and shower only as requested. Though no handrails fortunately brought our own. Should have requested a shower mat. The restaurant is ON the first floor and the lift Does Not stop at this floor!!!!! For people who have mobility issues this is a serious issue. [Though room service is available]. The building is beautiful and has original features, the staircase is broad and lacks ease of access.
