The check in and check out process was good. The concierge was friendly and helpful. The food selection was alright But to take two lifts to the hotel room is inconvenient In Room 1911, The Queen size bed and pillow were too soft for me and I had backaches. The washing basin tap is leaking water after use and it makes the whole area wet and flood with water

Good location

Wasan P. Couples - Confirmed reviews ALL

Sofa was not really comfortable and the size of the room a bit small then what I expected. The first 2 nights of stay bar man was un happy to service seem like he have a bad day or something. Wifi was un stable unable to work using the wifi. Room is very clean and view was stunning. Over all staff are friendly and willing to help. Breakfast was shared with ibis with I found it’s a bit unfair. Also the food was the same for 4 days

Well located

aishing TripAdvisor review

It was a smooth start from the time the booking got postponed from 2020 (due to pandemic) and then it gets extended year over year. We arranged the initial booking, and added more nights and rooms to the 1st booking, all were done via emails and phone calls to the hotel. Now the nightmare started: 1) Checking in took quite long (bout 45mins) to get all the rooms sorted out. (3 rooms for 4 nights). We checked into level 2403/2404/2405 and the room is pretty clean. 3) With a Mercure standard, there's no room slippers, no toothbrush, no laundry bag provided - which is unacceptable - but I can still take it 4) What gave off my patience was the bathroom shower pressure. I could not bathe (not even able to fully wet myself). It was so bad that I felt like I didnt bathe even after 30mins. I called up the operator and they sent their "engineer" into my room. He walked into my room with his dirty shoes (and he smell like a chimney full of cigarettes) and then try left and right with the tap and tell me "all rooms are like that, the pressure is weak". And then he walked off, I have to wipe his shoe prints on my own. 4) On the 2nd day again, I called, they sent yet the same guy, this time he came with a different shower head to change it hoping that it will product better pressure. At night, when I wash my hair, I just couldnt get it clean properly. I totally lose it as I cannot believe I am in an Accor hotel. 5) In the next morning, after the breakfast, I called them saying I want to change floor (this is because I read in tripadvisor of another traveller complaning bout the water pressure on the same level 24). I told them I want to change floor for all the 3 rooms. So thankfully, they managed to get us all into level 21 - and true enough, there's nothing wrong with the hotel's water pressure. It's only that level 24 has the issue. 5) After changing the room, they blocked 1 of the room card asking us to fully pay up all the nights (although I have paid 2 nights for 2 rooms). They also took deposit from the time I check in, so why do you need us to pay in full in the middle of our stay? You dont trust us? But you have block the credit card! We pay up since we didnt want to argue further. Next thing we know, our room keys have to be "activated" on daily basis! Why cant the system just activate the key cards for our entire stay? 7) Lastly dont bother with the breakfast. It is shared with Ibis guests who are paying way lesser. Sucks big time. Not coming back!

Dear Aishing, I would like to thank you for sharing your feedback in regard to your recently stay at Mercure Bangkok Siam and your comments about the room cleanliness. I regret to hear about unpleasant experience in regard of the rest of your stay. But I would like to answer some of specific points with clear information and update After review our intern security system, we would like to inform that the full check in procedure took 22 minutes and we would like to apologies about this situation. The fact is that you had requested very specific room allocation for 3 rooms to be side by side we are sorry for the delay as the last room was clean at that time you arrived. We would like to inform you that amenities, slippers, toothbrush are provide upon request. We would like to apologies as we had an accidental pipe maintenance issue on the 24th floor on that specific day and we had it fix the next day. In regards of the engineer, I have shared you feedback to departments concern in deeply check and to ensure this incident should not be reoccurred for you and all of the value guest in the future I am sorry to read about your extended stay payment experience. We need to reactivate the key card manually for any extension. Your room extension was not prepaid and the deposit amount did not cover the room charge of your extension. We did not block the credit card but ask for a preauthorization to cover any service or consumption who could occur during your stay. I would like to inform that Mercure and Ibis Bangkok Siam share the same Restaurant for the breakfast operation. It is accommodate Ibis and Mercure guests who pay the exact same 350 THB breakfast price. Once again thank you for your value feedback and we hope to serve you again when you back in Bangkok. Best regards, Raphael Hirsch General Manager
