Arrived hotel at 4pm due to heavy weather to realise rooms are not ready and only able to check at 11pm.

the worst hotel room check-in experience I've ever had

I reach hotel at around 4pm and I saw a very very long queue in the lobby, at first I thought it was only because of covid19 checking which causing the chaos but later i found out the queue hardly move at all then I tried to ask for cancellation and refund but the receptionist insists all of us have to queue in line even if we want to cancel. I left with no choice and stay at the queue for 4 plus hours!!! Finally it's almost my turn, only found out that there are no rooms available and this is ridiculous!!! We have all the confirmation booking number and the room is paid. I am 7 months pregnant with 3 luggage bags, the amount of time standing and waiting in line is really unacceptable and suffered to MAX! Everyone is mad and started to look for person in charge/manager and there are none who can even make a decision or tell all the innocent customers what we can do except keep waiting in line. We are pay here to rest and enjoy our holiday, but what we get is endless waiting without an explanation or compensation. At 8 something night, there are still no room for me, I am hungry and tired to hell.. I travel all the way from Penang to KL and what I get is standing, waiting and nothing else. So, I left hotel and grab my dinner outside and went back to hotel at 11pm, the receptionist finally able to give me a room number on 24th floor. But my nightmare hasn't end, when I reach in front of the room, the key is not working!! I could not open the door so I went back down with all my luggage to call for help, and they keep me waiting for around 15mins before a security came and willing to go up with me to try the door. They told me that the door battery die or something like that therefore they need to manual knock off the lock pad in order the open and change the battery. To our surprise, after bang off the door, another door lock latch is locked from the inside! and we can peep in where there is light and aircon on, which means someone is inside for god sake! Thank god the person is asleep or something (I hope the person is not disturbed) because he/she did not came out after security bang off the door. How can hotel give me a room which someone already stay in?!!! This is very irresponsible and horrifying!!!! After they check here check there call this call that, and that took more than half an hour finally they upgrade our room to president suite (I think because the system show no other room is available!) the time when I can finally step in a "hotel room" for em to rest is at 12.15 midnight. Imagine that, is it acceptable? This is really a nightmare experience that I will definitely never forget. I hope management can look into this seriously. My parents knowing my situation from call almost wanted to make a call to police station, because we can file this as a fraud! If there are no rooms hotel can just tell us at the first place, do a full refund / compensation or whatever instead of keep us waiting in line without any explanation and contingency plan!

As a measure of compensation for your visit I would like to invite you back to have a much improved stay or I can reimburse you for the cost of this past room charge. When we check in our room Shower Gel and Shampoo were used. Very Dirty toilet. Although the air conditioner is turned on, the room is still stuffy for whole night.

The facilities that you have provided is great. The things that you offered are good. However, to have great facilities is just one part of the hotel stay experience. Your customer service is not befitting of a 5-star hotel as I feel that I have stayed in hotels that offer better services albeit not being 5-star rated. When I had a problem with my room, I called up the hotel reception, no one picked up. I called up numerous times, no one picked up. Then I tried calling concierge and room service. No one picked up either. This is horrible. What if there is an emergency? Also, I suspect that the bathroom was not cleaned properly. When I wanted to use the bathtub, I had to scrub and clean the surface before using it! I could feel that there was grime on the bathtub walls! Ewww! Not only that, I suspect that the cleaner did not change the bathing soap too. The one left in my bathroom was close to empty and there were stains on its side, showing signs of use. This is appalling for a 5-star hotel. I can send you a picture of this as a prove. I would like the manager of Pullman Bangsar Kuala Lumpur to personally contact me regarding this matter so that this matter could be handled with better.

my first allocated room aircond not funtioned well
