Hotel hardware generally good, but needs improving 1. Cannot adjust room temperature, felt too hot at times 2. We are partner gold members. Welcome drink don't have any alcohol. also no welcome gift or note in our room. No room upgrade too. 3. We arrived about 15min before the lounge bar's closing time. Tried to pay for beer, but was told no cold ones?! 4. Seems weird, so we asked why no cold beer, the waiter was rude. At one stage , he refused to serve us. Amazed that this could happen in a Pullman. The waitress was ok though, but training seems needed. Unfortunately, our worst experience yet with a Pullman.

The individual room air conditioning not working because hotel is in winter mode. The room is very hot 27-29 celsius. Had to ask for a fan and have a window open despite air pollution outside. Avoid this hotel if air conditioning is top of must have list.

I needed to catch a train early one morning from the Shanghai Train station so this hotel is perfect. It's a 3 minute walk to the station. The breakfast before going was wonderful as well. The room was clean, quiet, and my shower was perfect. I will stay here every time I need to take the train from the Shanghai train station. There are so many things to see, do, and eat within a 5 minute walk from the hotel as well.
