We were on the fourth floor and there was a strong pungent smell of what we thought was drains in the corridor. We think that it had been tried to be covered up with air freshener and the whole effect was very unpleasant. There was the same issue in the ladies toilets last night and the same thing this morning in the corridor. The bar service was very slow and the order was incorrect and they added a 5% service charge which we refused to pay. Room was nice and comfortable and breakfast was very good but I think the whole experience was sadly lacking for a Novotel.

Very comfortable bed and pillow. Morning buffet was really nice, especially the desserts were great.

Rooms are decent. Nothing to complain here. Staff who clean the rooms are the nicest and helpful people. My check in experience was not good. 1) I had done online checkin to safe time and was told i only need to pick up my key. I arrived and was facing a long queue. There should be an extra counter for key pick up! Otherwise why check in online? 2) facing finally the checkin staff, they are anything but fast. Also constantly on a phone, loosing focus, not paying attention. Even with the online checkin - it took another 10 mins. 3) checkout: i was about to step to the counter when a lady cut in from the side and taking first place in line. While I am used to lack of civil sense in india and the constant cheating, i found it odd that the staff behind the counter went with it. No ‘excuse me ma’m please queue at the end’. Instead he checked her out first! Encouraging the bad behaviour
