Relaxing stay at Mercure Chartres

The location is very convenient in the centre ville and a few minutes minutes walk to the cathedral. The receptionists were very helpful..very welcoming and full of smiles. The ambience was really good and the beds are very comfortable..i didn't want to leave the bed. Too bad I only stayed for one night. I loved the breakfast too plenty of options at the buffet and stuff ( lovely ladies) at PDJ were nice too. I had a great stay and I would definitely like to come back. Thank you so much. Gloria

It was good overall, appart for the room itself: some minor refreshments would help there, e.g. replace cold white lamp bulbs by warm white one, or put carpet on floor tiles

Another good stay in our favourite hotel chain

We'd checked in ahead and our key was waiting for us on arrival. The receptionist was very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is well organised for dealing with the Covid pandemic and we felt very sate staying there. We used the speedy checkout but I later found out that there was a problem with the bill. It should have taken account of a credit note we had but didn't. I contacted them on the Monday morning and the issue was resolved quickly and efficiently. Another good stay in our favourite hotel chain!

I called to reserve a specific room which Amélie kindly reserved for me and she also made me feel welcome when I arrived and took care of all my needs during my stay. Franck was on duty in the evening and really looked after me so I enjoyed my stay. Luckily I had brought a fan with me as it was very hot and the a/c on the 3rd floor broke down on the Saturday night. The rooms are spacious with carpet on the floor and much better than the Monarque next door.

There but not there

I selected because of location. I didn’t get a chance to even see my room because I slipped and fell getting off plane and broke 3 bones in my left ankle. Had surgery Monday evening late and was in hospital til I left this past Friday morning. My luggage was delivered to me at hospital. The hotel staff was very concerned and I had asked for an ice bag and received it promptly.

As for previous stays, this stay was comfortable and the rooms a high standard. I noticed that the soap in the bathroom had changed. The change made was positive in my opinion as I found the new product better than the previous product.

Short Stay in Chartres

We stayed overnight in Chartres on route to our house in Marseillette. The hotel staff were polite and welcoming, our room was well equipped, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hotel is superbly located in the centre of town with a secure underground public car park nearby. It was our first brief visit to Chartres, but we will certainly return to the city and this hotel.
