The location of the hotel is perfect, walking distance from letchworth. The room was very clean. Both evenings were very loud due to being right next to the events area however this is expected as it is used for events.

I have already filled in a form on the Accor website on which I explained the issues we experienced. Briefly the room was in no way superior, the only positive was the bed was comfortable.

I booked a suite as a treat for the family. The hotel has lovely grounds and was great for our young children who could play freely. However, there were issues. The place needs investment. Windows don't close properly, frames rotting, the aircon was broken, the room needed better cleaning, heated/illuminated mirror in the bathroom not working. It was a hot day. The heating was on and you couldn't turn it off.....no aircon. So we had to have the windows open. This meant that we felt like we were stuck in the middle of the very loud wedding disco that ran until 1am. The people at the wedding disco were also obviously too hot as they helpfully opened all the doors and turned up the pa system at midnight just to help everyone else in the hotel feel part of their big day. To be fair to the manager, she refunded our room charge. She said that the hotel was due to receive investment. If and when it does, I can see that it could be a really nice hotel. Without it, sadly, you'll be staying in a place that is in an advanced state of decay.
