The best hotel at which we have stayed for a very long time. That said, the radiator valve was defective - I would have needed tools to make it work. The bath-shower selection button was jammed - but I eventually had it operating freely. The plug would not seat, and let water out nearly as fast as the tap ran it in. I solved that by placing a weight on the plug until water pressure head built-up and kept it closed.

I booked a premier suite as we wanted something a bit special. When we got into the room the radiator (there was only 1) was off. As it was a larger room and on a corner of the building it took so long to heat and to be honest it just didnt warm up, so at 1am my partner had to go to reception to get a heater.... all night I wished I'd stayed at home. The room warmed up with the fan heater but it was noisy . If the radiator had been left on it may have been ok but it was awful. I've had good experiences before at this hotel, hence why we wanted a superior room but I was left very disappointed.. and COLD!

Overpriced for what is a general hotel

The initial room offered to me was directly above the hotel's kitchen with a extractor fan humming and gave me an instant headache. The sole member of Reception staff was trying her best despite a plethora of challenges so well done to her and a manager/supervisor eventually managed to resolve the issue by moving me to a different room. Generally the entire team seemed a little disorganised throughout the hotel, with bar staff and waiting staff squabbling over petty details. I don't see the issues as staff issues, merely poor management and leaving staff to fix what seemed recurrent issues. Plus despite it being overly busy in the hotel, the bar had somehow managed to run out of pint glasses, serving them direct from the dishwasher resulting a soapy beer at £5 per pint. Breakfast at £15 is outrageous, the hotel isn't the Ritz.

Nice welcome, courteous and helpful staff. Clean rooms but could do with a refurbish. We went over Christmas period and our room on ground floor suffered from late night party revellers waiting for taxis.

The room is ok, although tired and need work doing to it. The Wifi didnt reach the whole of the room so had to work from the bathroom. On checked I was asked if it was my first time, and it was. After that nothing was explained to me about the hotel being able to use the gym.

Staying at Letchworth Hall is an experience to be regarded as the BEST. We've been coming here for over six years about two or three times a year! Wouldn't even think of going elsewhere! Naturally we praise, as usual, Rafael and Alan in the Breakfast Room, and James in Reception. We were sorry to hear that Mark had left, but understand he has been promoted within your Organisation (well deserved)! We met Carlos, the new General Manager, who was most gracious and polite to us - we wish him all success in his ne environment.

Welcome as front desk was very sincere. I was upgraded and allowed slightly earlier check in due to my Accor membership. Room was clean and spacious. Only issue (very minor) was broken TV remote.

We have stayed at your hotel many times. Usually come to Letchworth Hall with our two children.Always happy, hardly any negatives. This time ( 27th Dec) our room was upgraded to Barton suite. That made our festive break extremely special. The rooms were clean, comfortable beds, delicious meal. We love swimming pool, the gym. Thank you for everything. Definitely will be back!!

Visit family in Hertfordshire

LHH has now become my "go to" when visiting family in Hertfordshire. The building is beautiful, rooms decently appointed and the staff are helpful and friendly. Parking is more than adequate and I have been pleased with the quality and value of the food in the restaurant. I will be back in April.

Very Disappointed- expected much more than I actually got

My request to the hotel was ignored, my suite was basic and not worth the money As It was Christmas and I had to stay away I wanted to treat myself to a suite, it was very disappointing compared to other suite stays with Accor Large room yes, mini bar (two small bottles of water only), upgraded toiletries NO, coffee making (basic- kettle only) robe & slippers NO. Any other status recognition NONE Specifically phoned the hotel and requested a suite near the reception on the ground floor and it was confirmed. On arrival I was told that although my request had been followed but I had now been changed - to the suite on the second floor and a long walk from reception. I had an elderly small dog with me, and I suffer from a serious back issue to waling is very painful hence the request. What was to be a treat for myself as I was staying away on my own at Christmas was a total disappointment - I would have had a better experience staying in a Standard room. Yes when I complained on leaving I was given a partial refund but that was not the point this was supposed to be a treat for me, and it was not.
