Didn't consider refund even in coronavirus situation

I have booked the hotel because I had APLS course there Herefordshire NHS trust but due to Coronavirus the course got cancelled and I requested them for refund but they didn't consider it. I just felt it was a genuine reason and when all others are paying respect to NHS doctor and they want to make money out of it with no respect for NHS doctor..

Hotel dealt well with COVID-19 risk. Restaurant as closed, but food served in the bar. Precautions t the gym separating equipment and extra cleaning.

We have stayed here previously and been so pleased that we booked again for a very short weekend break along with my brother and his wife. The hotel is great and although there are events held here, the staff always put us in a room away from the noise. Noise has never been a problem. The grounds are lovely and the leisure club is really well looked after. The dinner and breakfast were of a very high quality. We had a problem with the room lock and air con in one room, but the staff resolved these to our satisfaction very quickly. We have booked again for a long weekend although this needs to be changed due to the virus, and I am awaiting the result of our request to postpone. All in all a fantastic venue.

the hotel staff were very polite at all times the food was was good we also pre booked after noon tea in are stay the only thing was the room could have been more up to date i did talk to reception and they said we could change rooms but they also said that they put us that side because there was a wedding and it would be noisy the only other thing was i am a member and i dont have a membership card so i did not my points and i paid cash when we had drinks and food

The staff were extremely helpful but there was an issue in my room in the attic with the complicated bedside phone which reception had to unplug to stop it from beeping. The food was ok but overpriced for what it was.

OK hotel, food poor, gym a benefit

Room was OK & gym was a benefit. Initial issue with booking online for some reason it booked me onto the following week, not the week I booked it for so ended up having to pay an extra £50 for the privilege. First night ate in the hotel restaurant & had a prawn Thai curry. I like spicy food & salt, unfortunately this was especially spicy but I could cope with it. However it was excessively salty, so much so it was crunchy with salt. Went for a desert which was described as a coconut chocolate torte with coconut yogurt. This came as a very dense chocolate torte with a tiny smear of yogurt which added nothing to lighten the dish. Very disappointing & only recompense offered was a drink to take away. Needless to say, I didn't eat there again.

Pleasant stay, staff were lovely and helpful and we had an easy check in, with plenty of parking - was nice and easy which is always what you want. They upgraded our room which was so kind Room was clean and spacious, lovely bathroom with all amenities, including iron etc Only thing I would say is put more milk and tea in rooms ;) Food was good, Service was good. We would say at breakfast more hot vegetarian options should be out and available (we had to ask and missed out on first morning)

Picked this hotel due to leisure facilities. Disappointed to find you had to walk outside of hotel to get there (not good in rain) and no private ladies changing facilities, just open plan. Hotel Corridor rooms 63-70 stank of old cigarette smoke. Room clean and tidy. Staff all friendly.

We booked a stay for one night at the Mercure Letchworth Hall Hotel where we would be arriving late and leaving early. We arrived at about 11.30pm and was pleased to see the reception well staffed this late in the evening. We had a bit of trouble finding the room but eventually we did and it seemed like a nice comfortable room with nice views. However we later noticed there was no duvet or cover, just a mattress sheet. Pulling back the sheets to look for covers we noticed that the mattress was blood-stained and had been covered by extra sheets. Since we found no duvet I went back down to reception to ask for one, the staff were helpful and brought us up a duvet after a few minutes. We had a comfortable sleep but the cleanliness issues were a bit of a worry, and we heard similar stories about our friend's room so in future we would personally avoid this hotel.

Lovely grounds but room for improvement

Check in was very quick, but was only told where the room was. No information of the hotel facilities nor meal times. Shame there wasn't a information book with gym/pool opening times and what you can do locally. The lady during the night shift (cant remember she name) was very helpful, unlike the afternoon. During breakfast there were large pieces of glass over the floor, not ideal especially as we had a young child with us. Bathroom was very good, nice to have a shower and not flood the bathroom floor like most other hotels. Bed very comfortable, rooms abit shabby in areas.
