I understand that the pandemic has affected hotel businesses across the country but we expected basic hospitality when we arrived. Unfortunately we were not informed that there was no chef that night and no dinner would be available. Everything was an effort for the staff, so we’ll be seeking alternative hotels in future.

The staff were excellent. The Hotel is in need serious of cosmetic improvement, however our room was a generous size, comfortable and well furnished. The bathroom was a little dated. We did find the room cold, despite having the radiator set to the highest temp. The 'Hot' water was look warm however long you left the shower or taps running. Because of Covid restrictions many of the Hotel's facilities were not available, so we can't comment on them. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay and the room rates were good value.

Very out dated, dirty shower curtains, old flat carpet that isn't nice to walk on when you've forgotten your socks! I paid for a king size and ended up with two singles zipped together so I slept on a dip. View should have been of the grounds but was in fact the car park. Room was next to a main door which wasn't silenced

very poor check in experience, treated without respect or as a valued c.. No recognition of platinum status, no free drink etc. not a welcome back but don't book with us again experience. Staff member unaware that Hotel was part of Accor group.

Hotel receptionist were very helpful, our first room heating wasn't working so the Receptionist put us in another straight away, the receptionist the next day was also very helpful. Hotel needs updating rooms need decorating , but under the circumstances with the covid restrictions all very organised.

My room was very cold. I reported it to reception and was told she would see if she could get the heating 'tweaked up'. I reported again in the morning and she said she would get 'maintenance' to look at it. When I returned late afternoon I was told maintenance had fixed it. When I got to the room it was much warmer and the curtains were open. When I closed the curtains the room started to go much colder. In the end I stuffed the curtains behind the radiator and the room temperature was OK for the rest of the stay. The curtains were thick and lined from floor to ceiling. The heat from the radiator didn't penetrate them and went straight through the glass. I can't beleive that I'm the first guest to have experienced this.

Well located for my work trip

Brief. I have stayed once before and although this was before the tier system between the lockdowns, the evening meal offerings were not as excepted on my second stay with limited options for food (bit limited on portion size also), no taps on so drinks were served from bottles and the breakfast was most disappointing with either cereal and yoghurt or a small single sausage/bacon bap to take away (my first stay included a bit more options and a full breakfast to take away which was reasonably sized for the price of breakfast). I understand it is a challenging time during Covid but lets not allow the standards to drop.

Excellent young team, however rooms unfinished, damaged and tired. Pillows wafer think, mattress lurching to one side. Alround well below Mercure standard.

Letchworth Hall Hotel is staffed by a wonderful team of people who take great care of their guests! They were always happy to help with anything we needed, the rooms were very comfortable and well kept.
