Has amazing potential but needs investment

We paid for a deluxe room, the first one we were put in was disgusting. However we were moved and that room was ok. We got married at this hotel 27 years ago and aside from extensions, the original hotel really has not changed. It is tired and dated in places. However the food service was excellent and Lilly behind the bar is a credit to you. We had problems with the original reservation and the call centre were beyond useless! They have never got back to us regarding our queries!

We enjoyed our stay, good environment

We enjoyed our stay very much. Good price Included a lovely selection for breakfast (more choice and food before COVID - but still good). One big advantage, gym was included in the price which we thoroughly enjoyed very much esp stream room. One little issue, room 72 was very noisy at night. I couldn't sleep due to some kind of generator making noise the whole night. The noise was gradually reduced in the early morning though. Overall it was clean and lovely location. Previously I stayed on the second floor the room was a bit ran down, was old, window frames were rotten/paint came off, carpet was old. This was my 5th time. Overall, good stay, will book again soon. I have recommended many people about this hotel.

Only problem was the heating in the room which was too hot and the thermostat on the radiator wasn’t working so couldn’t turn it down, otherwise everything else was good
