OK room but no sockets by the side of the bed! Really unacceptable in this day and age with iphones.

It was pleasant and the staff were lovely and very helpful. Sadly the room was dated with paint chipped from window frame. There was damp on the wall, only enough hot water for one shower. The shower itself was falling apart .The constant banging of doors being closed was unbearable.

Due to my work I do a lot of travelling and stay in Hotels all over the country so therefore used to a 'warm welcome and the usual questions' of which I didn't get at Letchworth Hall. Upon arrival I was not asked whether I had stopped at the hotel before, which I hadn't, so I had no idea of the layout, the facilities etc. these were not explained to me. I gave my name and was booked into my room and directions to the room were given, end of communication with receptionist. I went to my room and off loaded my bags before returning to the reception to ask where the restaurant was and what time breakfast was. I was directed to the bar/restaurant where I went to order some food (just after 5pm) where I was told food was not being served until 6pm, therefore I returned to my room. I went back to the bar/restaurant just after 6pm and promptly ordered a beer and burger, I was asked where I would like to sit and I took a seat at a small table. My food arrived in a timely manner however there was no cutlery on the table nor no condiments, the lady who brought the food placed the plate on the table and walked off. It was clear I did not have any cutlery and I was not asked if I would like any or indeed advised where I could get them from. I then had to leave my computer on the table with the food to go to the bar to ask where I could get these from and was directed to a small unit, to the side of the bar, thankfully there was only 1 person at the bar waiting to be served so I didn't have to wait too long to find these whilst my food and computer were sat on a table out of view. There were other people sat chatting in the bar and talking about the gym at the hotel, I assume they paid for access to this or was access included? Upon checking out the following morning, I was not asked about my stay by the receptionist!

Ok stay very tired hototel

Our booking was the very last minute as the hotel we had chosen to use locally closed suddenly. The hotel itself probably once was lovely. It’s now tired in need of decoration . The towel in the bathroom wasn’t even connected and the bed was so soft it was very difficult to sleep. For a premium, then certainly wasn’t up to scratch.
