ibis Pocos de Caldas Hotel 3 stars

I had no surprises staying there, what is good. However, I didn't like the renovation of the lobby. The breakfast has been served in a provisory area. The tables are too close to each other, a very tight place. The food and beverage are next to the renovation area, without any kind of protection against dust or painting smell or whatever. The period of the service was shortened as well, closing an hour earlier than usual. In spite of all these troubles, the breakfast was charged full price. I had to make a last minute reservation at Ibis due to problems in my original reservation in another hotel. Of course, they charged me the flat price, no discounts. The problem is that they didn't easy on the payment at all, as is usual in Brazil. Normally, I can divide the total cost in 6 to 10 interest-free instalments using the credit card. This time, I had to pay it full in one down payment. I have an Accor's membership but it didn't make any difference. I was treated as any common guest.

Great location, a little stingy on towels and soap, but very nice staff provided what we needed.

Blues was in the air of Poços! The better place to listen the american original blues that we know. Very Good! And the IBIS localization is very good, too. Near the Festival! We like very much and recommend it for all. Thanks!

The whole staff was engaged and tried hard to assist and make my stay satisfactory. They took the extra steps to assure everything worked well for me.

There is no noise cancellation on my room, looks like I was in zoo! Elephants running over my room and there so many noise coming from the hall that I cant keep the TV off.

The room was clean. Excellent bath. Good bed. TV with many channels. For improving is to give more thinks, as water in refrigerator. The noise of refrigerator is high. Something must be done to reduce it. It's not specific this hotel, seems that many hotel doesn't take care it.

The staff was awesome and also the breakfast. The wi-fi was not working but the staff solved it. The room should be cleaner and the sheets were a little bit old/dirt.

Really good location (close to main touristic points), with comfortable and clean rooms/bathrooms.

The room could be cleaner. As you charge to allow pets, it should be possible to leave my dog at the room.

House keeping did a reasonable job of keeping my bed the way I prefer it. Room 1218 was excellent and now my preferred room.
