Lovely hotel, which is situated in acres of stunning gardens. The hotel is close to many of the winery’s and a easy stroll to the village. Room was quite spacious which lead out onto your own private courtyard. The food at the hotel though was very mediocre

The hotel is well located and the facilities are ok. But the cleanliness of the room was below level. When we arrived the fridge was filthy and the trays were full with water. We advised the lady at the reception, she said will send her colleague to check the fridge. When we returned to our room two hours later the fridge was still dirty and the trays full of water. We tried to call reception but the phone was not working. We called reception from our mobile the same lady said will send someone again. The gentleman that showed up checked the phone and he agreed that it is not working but said since we have our mobiles we can contact reception on our mobiles. He checked the fridge and agreed that there is water and dirt and said will be back to wipe it. He came back with a tea towel, wiped the trays leaving them still wet and left. At this point I was quite frustrated and decided to clean the fridge myself. All the surfaces in the room were very sticky. We had to wipe them all ourselves. There were stains on one of the pillowcases and the floor was very dirty especially under the beds. On the second night big cocroaches were cralwing on the curtains and in the bathroom. Every time we had a shower water was leaking on the bathroom floor. Very disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel.

Nothing much to complain about, friendly staff and Erin on reception was lovely and helpful. The room was pretty tired looking, broken bits in bathroom around mirror from water damage. Outdoor corridors dirty and stick. Floor needs a good clean. Pool was amazing with a nice shade area. Breakfast was nice but coffee was extremely bitter so I couldn’t drink it.

Great location and service, only thing that would make this place perfect was cleanliness in the rooms. We had a mouldy shower head, and blood on the quilt/dooner. I understand you dont wash that but at least have a cover that can be washed.

We stayed two nights and had breakfast and dinner in the restaurant both days. Menu was limited but was fine for a two day stay. Our room, king studio, was very roomy and comfortable, but a little dated. Position was great for the two days and wine tours will pick up there as it is central. Staff made us feel welcome. All COVID provisions were in place but not in your face. We will use them again.

Fold out bed not comfy to sleep on, rolled into the middle and onto other person. Terrible sleep. Not with the room cost. No signage where to find pool towels, not in the usual place or in room, lots of running around, should have signage. Finally got to pool, only to have duck land in it, poo in both ends of the pool. and then leave. So we didn’t get to swim after all. Went to see light show but so over crowded it wasnt really Covid safe at all, busiest I have seen in years, no reduction in volume of people. Overall not enjoyable trip.

We have recently just installed the sofa beds in the rooms, I do however, always recommend that it is still a sofa bed and normally more comfortable for one person, but yes can sleep two. Sadly, I can't do much about the annoying encounter with a duck in our pool, in our area we often get ducks, lizards and other wildlife that enjoy the large amount of gardens and grass around our rooms. One of the disadvantages to a highlight of our property. However, next time let us know and I our team can pop down there and clean it out for you also. I will pass your feedback onto the Gardens Management for you. I know they have spent sometime ensuring the safety of everyone there but I certainly will ask that they take it on board for you. Very good but the room and bathroom were a bit tired. Coffee and tea were basic. Grounds were great. No fresh towels the second day.

Whilst we enjoyed our time , it was a little disappointing PROS: - location, room size, private courtyard, nice gardens, huge bath, air con CONS: - room decor, dining room in desperate need of upgrade, miserable staff, unable to book in for breakfast unless we wanted 0700. Breakfast whilst good selection of main breakfast , no pastries , yogurt or fruit on offer.

this was our families second trip within a few months to see the Christmas Lights (the first was washed out with lightning) so we all decided to go again. As we all come from different parts of NSW it was a great spot to catch up. Altogether their were 8 adults 8 siblings. We enjoyed the close location of our rooms and of course the meeting place of the pool. we loved the trips to the village and of course the near proximity of the Christmas lights. Basically we enjoyed the experience with you but there were a few small problems that could have been dealt with more efficiently the facilities point of view. We found phone calls were not always returned: emails were not always answered; complaints like freeezers on the fridge not looked at and so food perished; a daughter with a baby requested SEVERAL TIMES IF she could have a micowave to heat bottles. I appreciate that your facility is very busy but I think there is a bit of a hole in your customer service. I dont think your staff can work any harder as they were wonderful; I think they may be expected to do too much. Dont get me wrong, we have encouraged our kids to work hard too. I am not sure that, as a group that we would return to your facility. We as parents paid for our kids first visit so that allowed them to do a second trip.

Our room was tired, unclean, mouldy bathroom and room smelled mouldy( we needed to keep the sliding door open all night for fresh air. The room was described as ‘deluxe king’. There was nothing deluxe about it. Curtains and furniture were very old- fashioned and dirty/ worn. The king bed sagged in the middle, had a join running down the middle and was extremely uncomfortable. This room was extremely overpriced. The pool had chipped and missing tiles. The walkways needed sweeping. This place is very in need of an update. I won’t be coming back as I can get much better accommodation for my money in this area.

Had a very comfortable room and the hotel is conveniently located adjacent to the Hunter Valley Garden Village and other venues and close to 3 wineries and miscellaneous shops all within easy walking distance.

Check-in was fine. Get to our room to find that although I booked for 2 Adults & 2 Children, there was no bed for the children. Phone reception to be told that would be an additional $25 per night. No, I booked & paid extra for 2 children & I expect that would include a bed for them to sleep in. The room, although stuck in the early 90s, was clean & tidy. The external areas of the WHOLE resort are dirty, broken & tired. The pool area was ok, nothing a good gurney & replacement of a few broken tiles wouldn’t fix. However, the festy room service trays that had clearly been on the broken tables for some time were an eyesore. While I understand Covid restrictions I fail to understand the need to book a time for breakfast. Of course this was not advised on booking so the only times available were early, not quite the relaxing sleep-ins we were desperate for & had we been advised such I would not have booked bed & breakfast. To top it off, no umbrella in the room & surprise surprise, none left at reception either. Such a shame because we used to love this property but until it receives the attention it deserves, we won’t be back. On the plus, Dominic in the restaurant was a gem.
