Free car park is a bonus! Lovely receptionist! Rooms adequately sized with the bonus of having tea/ coffee facilities in the room as not every ibis budget we have stayed in has that. Pillows, like always, terrible! Room overly hot and no hot water for the shower in the morning. Would book again for the price and location if we came back to Cardiff.

Well located, clean hotel. Decor is a little tired. The problem was we did not have some absolute basics. Such as there was no hot water in the shower. The toilet seat height was incredibly low to the floor and didn't flush properly.

Firstly the hotel is clean and quiet. Good value for money. However we booked ages ago and called after booking to ensure the rooms were next to each other as we had a 9 and 14 year old with us. When we arrived we were told the rooms were on a different floor. We explained we had children but nothing could be done. It caused us a lot of anxiety and problems and kinda ruined the weekend for us. It was especially annoying as we had called to ensure the rooms would be next to each other. We explained this on arrival but nothing could be done. As a result I would advise any families with young kids avoiding booking with ibis budget. Sorry.
